2. Product Models Overview

NETUM offers a range of barcode scanners with different connectivity and scanning capabilities:

• NT-L3 Wired 1D CCD Barcode Scanner: Connects via USB cable, reads 1D barcodes.
• NT-L5 Wired 2D QR Barcode Scanner: Connects via USB cable, reads 1D and 2D barcodes (QR, DataMatrix, PDF417).
• NT-L6 2.4G Wireless 1D CCD Barcode Scanner: Connects wirelessly via 2.4GHz USB receiver, reads 1D barcodes. Features an 1800mAh battery and 256KB memory for offline storage.
• NT-L8 2.4G Wireless 2D QR Barcode Scanner: Connects wirelessly via 2.4GHz USB receiver, reads 1D and 2D barcodes. Features an 1800mAh battery and 256KB memory for offline storage.

3. Setup Guide

All NETUM barcode scanners are designed for plug-and-play functionality, requiring no additional drivers for most operating systems.

3.1. System Compatibility

Your scanner is compatible with:

• Windows (Win7, Win8, Win10)
• Mac OS (10.8.4 or above)
• Linux

3.2. Connecting Your Scanner

3.2.1. Wired Models (NT-L3, NT-L5)

1. Connect the USB cable from the scanner to an available USB port on your computer.
2. The computer will automatically detect and install the necessary device.
3. The scanner is ready for use once the installation is complete (usually indicated by a beep or light change).

3.2.2. 2.4G Wireless Models (NT-L6, NT-L8)

1. Insert the Mini USB Receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
2. The computer will automatically detect and install the necessary device.
3. Turn on the barcode scanner. It should automatically pair with the receiver.
4. The scanner is ready for use.

3.2.3. Bluetooth Wireless Model (NT-L8X)

1. USB Receiver Mode: Follow the steps for 2.4G Wireless Models (3.2.2).
2. Bluetooth Mode:
   1. Ensure your computer or mobile device has Bluetooth enabled.
   2. Turn on the NT-L8X scanner.
   3. Scan the Bluetooth pairing barcode (usually found in the quick start guide or a dedicated setting barcode).
   4. On your device, search for new Bluetooth devices and select the NETUM scanner.
   5. Confirm pairing if prompted.
3. Wired Mode: Connect the USB cable from the scanner to your computer. The scanner will operate as a wired device.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Scanning

1. Open a text editor, spreadsheet, or POS application where you want the scanned data to appear.
2. Point the scanner at the barcode you wish to read.
3. Press the trigger button. A successful scan will typically be indicated by a beep and/or a green light.
4. The barcode data will appear in your active application.

4.2. Scanning from Screens

Models with CCD or 2D scanning capabilities (NT-L5, NT-L6, NT-L8, NT-L8X) can effectively read barcodes directly from digital displays such as computer monitors, tablets, and smartphones.

4.3. Wireless Mode (Offline Storage)

For wireless models (NT-L6, NT-L8, NT-L8X), the built-in 256KB memory allows for storing over 2600 codes when out of range or disconnected. To upload stored data:

1. Ensure the scanner is connected to your computer (via 2.4G receiver or Bluetooth).
