3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Installation

The camera can be installed in various ways to suit your needs:

  • Embedded
  • Side mounting
  • Normal mounting
  • Wall Mounted

Ensure the camera is mounted securely in a location that provides the desired field of view and is within range of your Wi-Fi network or can be connected via Ethernet cable.

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided DC12V 1A power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the power source is stable.

3.3 Network Connection

The camera supports both wireless Wi-Fi (2.4G only, 5G not supported) and wired RJ-45 Ethernet connections.

3.3.1 Wireless Wi-Fi Connection

After powering on, the camera will enter Wi-Fi configuration mode. Follow the instructions in the ICSEE app to connect the camera to your 2.4G Wi-Fi network.

3.3.2 RJ45 Wired Cable Connection

Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the camera's RJ45 port. The camera will automatically establish a wired network connection.

3.4 Mobile App Installation (ICSEE)

Download the 'ICSEE' app from Google Play Store (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS). Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and add your camera.

3.5 PC Software Installation (VMS)

For PC monitoring, you can use the VMS software. Follow the connection steps provided in the diagram to set up the camera with the VMS software.

3.6 SD Card Installation

The camera supports a Micro SD card up to 128GB for local storage. Locate the TF Card Slot on the camera (refer to Figure 5) and insert the SD card. Ensure the camera is powered off before inserting or removing the SD card.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View and Panoramic Monitoring

The dual-lens system provides a seamless 180° panoramic view. You can monitor a large area without deformation. The camera also supports a picture-in-picture display, allowing you to see the full panoramic view while focusing on a specific area.

4.2 Night Vision Modes

The camera offers three night vision modes:

  • Smart Mode: Automatically switches between IR and full-color night vision based on detected motion.
  • Infrared Mode: Provides black and white images using infrared LEDs. White LEDs remain off.
  • Color Mode: Activates white LEDs for full-color vision day and night.

4.3 Two-Way Audio

4.5 Recording and Storage

Recordings can be stored locally on a Micro SD card (up to 128GB) or via cloud storage (requires a separate subscription fee). Cloud storage offers enhanced data security and accessibility.

4.6 ONVIF Protocol Support

The camera supports the ONVIF protocol, allowing it to be integrated with compatible Network Video Recorders (NVRs) and other CCTV systems. You can add the camera by searching for its IP address within your NVR system.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Weather Resistance

The camera has an IP66 waterproof rating, ensuring stable operation in various weather conditions. It is designed to withstand temperatures from -10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F).

5.2 Cleaning

Regularly clean the camera lens and housing with a soft, dry cloth to ensure optimal image clarity. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

5.3 Firmware Updates

Check the ICSEE app or ASECAM's official website periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the camera and a working power outlet.
  • No Network Connection: Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G and stable. For wired connections, check the Ethernet cable and router status. Restart the camera and router if necessary.
  • Poor Image Quality: Clean the camera lens. Check for obstructions in the field of view. Ensure adequate lighting for night vision modes.
  • False Alarms: Adjust the AI detection sensitivity settings in the ICSEE app to minimize unwanted alerts.
  • SD Card Not Recording: Ensure the SD card is correctly inserted and formatted within the app. Check if the card is full or corrupted.
  • NVR Compatibility: If using with an NVR, ensure the NVR supports ONVIF protocol and the camera's IP address is correctly configured.
