1. Introduction
The NETUM W6-X is a versatile 3-in-1 barcode scanner designed for efficient data capture. It supports three connection modes: USB Wired, 2.4GHz Wireless, and Bluetooth, offering flexibility for various applications. With its advanced CCD sensor, it can quickly and accurately read both 1D and 2D barcodes from paper and digital screens.
Key features include a fast decoding speed of up to 200 scans/second, support for multiple languages, and customizable prefix/suffix settings. This scanner is suitable for use in stores, supermarkets, warehouses, logistics, libraries, and hospitals.

2. Setup
The NETUM W6-X barcode scanner offers three convenient connection methods:
- USB Wired Connection: Connect the scanner directly to your computer using the provided USB cable. The scanner will be recognized automatically by your system, and no additional drivers are typically required.
- 2.4GHz Wireless Connection: Insert the 2.4GHz USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The scanner will automatically connect to the dongle, providing a stable wireless connection.
- Bluetooth Connection:
- Turn on Bluetooth on your mobile device (e.g., iPhone, Android phone) or computer.
- Press the trigger button on the scanner to enter pairing mode.
- Search for available Bluetooth devices on your phone or computer and select 'NETUM Bluetooth' from the list to pair.
3. Operating Instructions
To operate the NETUM W6-X scanner:
- Scanning Barcodes: Point the scanner at the barcode you wish to read and press the trigger button. A successful scan will typically be indicated by an audible beep, and the data will appear on your connected device. The scanner's CCD sensor engine supports reading linear barcodes directly from computer screens and mobile phones.
- Excellent Decoding Ability: The scanner features powerful decoding capabilities, allowing it to read damaged, blurred, or low-contrast barcodes effectively. It also supports scanning at various angles up to 60 degrees.

Upload Modes:
The scanner supports two data upload modes:
- Instant Upload Mode: In this mode, all scanned barcodes are immediately transmitted to your connected computer or device. This is ideal for real-time data entry.
- Storage Mode: The scanner has a flash memory that can store approximately 2000 barcodes. To use this mode, you must first scan the command barcode to activate storage mode (refer to the full manual for specific command barcodes). Once in storage mode, you can scan items without being connected to a device. To upload the stored data, scan the 'Output Stored Data' command barcode, and all saved information will be transmitted to your connected device.

Customization:
The scanner can be programmed to add custom prefixes or suffixes to scanned data, allowing for tailored data formatting. It also supports adding keyboard keys/combinations (e.g., TAB, CR&LF) as terminators. Refer to the full instruction manual for specific programming barcodes and detailed instructions on customization.
4. Maintenance
- Battery: The scanner features a built-in 2000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery, providing approximately 30 hours of continuous scanning. A full charge takes 3-4 hours using the included USB charging cable.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the scanner's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Keep the scanning window clean for optimal performance.

5. Troubleshooting & FAQ
- Some barcodes cannot be read, why?
- Dirty or unclear barcodes might not be read. Ensure the barcode is clean and undamaged.
- Digital barcodes displayed on phones, computers, or tablets can be read by CCD or 2D scanners but cannot be read by laser barcode scanners. The W6-X is a CCD scanner, so it should read digital barcodes.
- The setting for some barcode types may be off by default. You might need to activate a specific barcode type. Refer to the full manual or contact customer service if you are unsure of the barcode type.
- Is there any barcodes to apply or remove Enter for suffix?
- Yes, you can refer to the Common Function Barcodes section in the full manual to configure or remove the 'Enter' suffix.
- The data cannot be sent to my computer. Why?
- Please ensure you have not turned on inventory mode (storage mode). If the scanner is in storage mode, it will store scans internally instead of transmitting them instantly. You need to scan the 'Manual data upload' barcode to send the stored codes to your connected device.
- How to solve the messy code problem encountered while using other foreign languages?
- The default language is English. Please refer to the 'Language Setting' chapter in the full manual to change the scanner's language setting to match your system's language.

7. User Tips
- For optimal scanning, ensure barcodes are clean and well-lit. If a barcode isn't scanning, try adjusting the distance or angle.
- Remember to check if the specific barcode type is enabled in the scanner's settings if you encounter issues with less common codes.
- If data isn't appearing on your computer, verify that the scanner is not in storage mode. If it is, scan the 'Output Stored Data' command barcode to transfer the saved information.
- When using the scanner with different language settings on your computer, ensure the scanner's language setting is correctly configured to avoid 'messy code' output.
