5. Setup Instructions
5.1 Powering the Devices
The main display unit can be powered by either batteries or the included USB cable. Each remote sensor requires batteries.

- Main Display Unit: Insert 3 x AA 1.5V Alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, observing polarity. Alternatively, connect the included USB power cable to the unit and a suitable USB power adapter (not included).
- Remote Sensors: For each remote sensor, insert 2 x AAA 1.5V Alkaline or Lithium batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, observing polarity.
5.2 Pairing Remote Sensors
The main unit will automatically search for and connect to the remote sensors once they are powered on. If a sensor does not connect, or if you are adding new sensors:
- Ensure all remote sensors have fresh batteries and are within range of the main unit.
- On the main display unit, press and hold the RF SEARCH/CHANNEL button for a few seconds until the RF signal icon starts flashing.
- The main unit will begin searching for available sensors. Once a sensor is found, its readings will appear on the corresponding channel on the display.
- Repeat for all three remote sensors.
5.3 Placement of Main Unit and Remote Sensors
Consider the following for optimal placement:

- Main Unit: Place the main unit indoors in a central location where you can easily view the display. It can be placed on a tabletop using its built-in stand, mounted on a wall, or attached to a metallic surface via its magnetic back.
- Remote Sensors: Place remote sensors in desired outdoor or indoor locations (e.g., greenhouse, wine cellar, baby room). Ensure they are within the 100m (328ft) transmission range and have a clear line of sight to the main unit for best signal. Avoid direct sunlight or rain for outdoor sensors. Remote sensors can also be placed on a stand, wall-mounted, or hung using a lanyard.
- Interference: Keep both units away from large metal objects, electronic devices, and thick walls that may interfere with wireless transmission.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Display Overview
The large LCD screen provides a clear overview of all temperature and humidity readings. The top row shows Channel 1, the middle row shows Channel 2, the third row shows Channel 3, and the bottom row shows the indoor readings from the main unit.

6.2 Button Functions
- RF SEARCH/CHANNEL: Short press to cycle through displaying individual channels (CH1, CH2, CH3, Indoor) or all channels simultaneously. Long press to initiate a search for remote sensors.
- MIN/MAX: Short press to view the maximum temperature and humidity recorded since the last reset. Press again to view the minimum values. Press a third time to return to current readings. Long press to reset the MIN/MAX records.
- °C/°F: Short press to switch the temperature display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
- LIGHT: Short press to activate the blue backlight for 10 seconds, making the display easy to read in low-light conditions.
6.3 Comfort Level Indicator
The face icons on the display provide a quick visual indication of the humidity level:
- DRY: Relative Humidity (RH) is less than 40%.
- COMFORT: Relative Humidity (RH) is between 40% and 70%.
- WET: Relative Humidity (RH) is greater than 70%.
6.4 Temperature and Humidity Trend
Arrows next to the temperature and humidity readings indicate the trend:
- Up Arrow: Rising trend.
- Down Arrow: Falling trend.
- Horizontal Arrow: Stable trend.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement
When the display becomes blurry or readings are inconsistent, it's time to replace the batteries.
- Main Unit: Replace 3 x AA 1.5V Alkaline batteries.
- Remote Sensors: Replace 2 x AAA 1.5V Alkaline or Lithium batteries.
- Always ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
7.2 Cleaning
- Wipe the device with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the plastic casing or display.
7.3 Storage
- If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
8. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Solution |
|---|---|
| No display or blurry display | Replace batteries in the main unit or remote sensor. Ensure USB power is connected for the main unit. |
| Remote sensor not connecting/displaying | Ensure remote sensor has fresh batteries. Press and hold the RF SEARCH/CHANNEL button on the main unit to re-scan. Move sensor closer to the main unit. Avoid interference from other electronics or large metal objects. |
| Inaccurate readings | Ensure sensors are not in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with poor air circulation. Allow time for readings to stabilize after placement. |
| Temperature alarm delay | The device compares temperature after 10 minutes before triggering an alarm, unless the alarm value is reached immediately. This is normal operation. |
9. User Tips
- For outdoor sensors, consider placing them under an overhang or in a shaded area to protect them from direct sun and rain, which can affect accuracy and device longevity.
- When comparing indoor and outdoor conditions, remember that the 'Body Feeling Status' is a general guide and individual comfort levels may vary.
- To maximize battery life, use the USB power cable for the main unit whenever possible.
