1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Teclast P20S tablet. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device. Please read it carefully to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your tablet.

2. Device Overview

The Teclast P20S features a sleek Ice Blue metal body and a 10.1-inch IPS display. Familiarize yourself with the physical components of your tablet:

  • Front Camera: Located on the top bezel when held horizontally.
  • Rear Camera: Located on the top left corner of the back panel.
  • Micro SD Card Slot: For expanding storage up to 1TB.
  • Speakers: Dual stereo speakers for immersive audio.
  • Power Button: To turn the device on/off or put it to sleep.
  • Volume Buttons: To adjust audio levels.
  • Reset Button: A small pinhole for force restarting the device if unresponsive.

3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Charge

  1. Carefully remove the tablet and all accessories from the packaging. The package includes: 1x Tablet PC, 1x Charger, 1x USB Cable, 1x English Manual.
  2. Before first use, fully charge the tablet using the provided charger and USB Type-C cable. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

3.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the Teclast logo appears on the screen.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until a power menu appears. Select "Power off" and confirm.
  • To Restart: From the power menu, select "Restart".
  • To Sleep/Wake: Briefly press the Power button.

3.3 Initial Setup Wizard

Upon first power-on, you will be guided through the Android 12 setup wizard:

  1. Language Selection: Choose your preferred language. The tablet supports multiple languages including English, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Portuguese, Turkish, Italian, German, Chinese, French, Japanese, Polish, Ukrainian, Greek, and Hebrew.
  2. Wi-Fi Connection: Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password to connect to the internet.
  3. Google Account: Sign in with your Google account or create a new one. This is necessary to download apps from Google Play Store and sync your data.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete other settings like date and time, security, and privacy options.

3.4 Inserting SIM and Micro SD Card

The tablet supports dual SIM cards and Micro SD card expansion up to 1TB.

  1. Locate the SIM/Micro SD card tray on the side of the tablet.
  2. Use the provided SIM ejector tool to open the tray.
  3. Carefully place your SIM card(s) and/or Micro SD card into the designated slots on the tray. Ensure correct orientation.
  4. Gently push the tray back into the tablet until it clicks into place.

4. Operating Your Tablet

4.1 Basic Navigation

  • Touch Gestures: Use tap, swipe, pinch-to-zoom, and long-press for various interactions.
  • Home Screen: Access your apps, widgets, and notifications.
  • Notifications Panel: Swipe down from the top of the screen to view notifications and quick settings.

  • Wi-Fi: The P20S supports 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11 ac) for fast internet access up to 433Mbps. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi to connect.
  • Bluetooth: Connect wireless headphones, speakers, or other Bluetooth devices via Settings > Connected devices > Bluetooth. The tablet features BT 5.0 for high-fidelity connections.
  • 4G Network: With dual SIM support, you can make phone calls and access 4G LTE data (TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE). It also supports VoLTE for simultaneous calls and network access.

4.3 Camera Usage

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Care

  • The tablet is equipped with a 6000mAh Li-ion polymer battery.
  • Avoid extreme temperatures, as they can degrade battery life.
  • For optimal battery health, avoid frequently draining the battery completely or keeping it at 100% charge for extended periods.
  • Use only the original charger and cable or certified replacements.

  • For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Tablet not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the charger and wait a few minutes before attempting to power on again. If unresponsive, use a pin to press the reset button.
  • Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity issues: Try toggling Wi-Fi/Bluetooth off and on. Restart the tablet and your router/Bluetooth device. Ensure you are within range.
  • Slow performance: Close unused apps, clear app caches, and ensure sufficient free storage space. Restarting the tablet can also help.
  • App crashes: Clear the cache and data for the problematic app (Settings > Apps > [App Name] > Storage & cache). If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
  • Screen unresponsive: If the screen is completely unresponsive, try force restarting the device using the reset pinhole.
