This diagram illustrates the display, output LEDs, and basic button functions for setting humidity.
- Output LED: Indicates active output.
- Short press ▲ (Up) / ▼ (Down) buttons:
- Short press ▲1 to set the first set's start humidity.
- Short press ▼1 to set the first set's stop humidity.
- Short press ▲2 to set the second set's start humidity.
- Short press ▼2 to set the second set's stop humidity.
- Enter Setting Mode: Press and hold ▲1 and ▲2 simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter the setting mode (P0~P3).
- Factory Reset: Press and hold ▼1 and ▼2 simultaneously for 3 seconds to perform a factory reset.
Setting Parameters (P0-P3)

| Code | Function | Setting Range | Default Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| F0 | Output 1 Delay Protection | 0-60 minutes | 0 |
| F1 | Output 2 Delay Protection | 0-60 minutes | 0 |
| F2 | High Humidity Alarm | 1-99%RH | 99%RH |

| F4 | Delay Start | 0-10 minutes | 0 |
Humidification Example
The STC-3030 Soil Moisture Controller operates in humidification mode only. This means it will activate an output when the humidity drops below a set start point and deactivate it when it reaches a set stop point.
Condition: Start %RH < Stop %RH = Humidification
Example Scenario: If the soil moisture in a vegetable greenhouse is below 30%RH, water needs to be added. If the moisture value is higher than 75%RH, watering should stop.
Setting Steps:
- Set Start Humidity (Group 1): Short press ▲1. The screen will flash. Use the Up/Down keys to set the value to 30.
- Set Stop Humidity (Group 1): Short press ▼1. The screen will flash. Use the Up/Down keys to set the value to 75.
- Save Settings: The screen will flash for 3 seconds without operation, then auto-save and exit.
The setup method for Group 2 is similar: press ▲2 to show the second set of starting humidity, and short press ▼2 to show the second set of stopping humidity.
Important Note: The starting humidity value cannot be less than 3%RH of the stopping humidity. For example, if the stop humidity is set to 85%RH, then the starting humidity can only be set from 1-82%RH (maintaining a minimum difference of 3%RH).

This visual guide helps in understanding the different moisture levels (Dry, Moist, Wet) for effective control.
7. Application Scope
The STC-3030 controller is designed for a wide range of applications where precise soil moisture monitoring and control are essential. Its robust design, encapsulated with epoxy resin, ensures good sealing and allows direct burial in soil without corrosion, minimizing the influence of soil quality.

The controller is suitable for irrigation systems, greenhouses, pastures, plant cultivation, and scientific research.
8. User Tips
- Always ensure the 3%RH difference between start and stop humidity settings when operating in humidification mode to prevent rapid cycling of the connected device.
- For optimal performance and longevity, ensure all wiring connections are secure and follow the provided wiring diagrams carefully.
- Consider the length of the sensing line needed for your specific application, as it can be customized up to 20 meters for outdoor use.
9. Troubleshooting
If the device is not functioning as expected, please check the following:
- Power Supply: Ensure the correct voltage (DC12V, DC24V, or AC110-220V) is supplied and connections are secure.
- Sensor Connections: Verify that the soil sensors are correctly connected to terminals 3-6 and are properly immersed in the soil.
- Output Connections: Check that the load devices are correctly wired to terminals 7-10.
- Parameter Settings: Review your F0-F4 parameter settings to ensure they match your desired control logic. A factory reset (hold ▼1 and ▼2 for 3 seconds) can revert to default settings if needed.
- Alarm Conditions: If an alarm is active, check the F2 (High Humidity Alarm) and F3 (Low Humidity Alarm) settings.
For persistent issues, refer to the detailed PDF manual for further guidance.
10. Maintenance
The STC-3030 controller is designed for durability and low maintenance. To ensure its longevity and accurate performance:
- Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.
- Regularly inspect sensor cables for any damage, especially if used outdoors or immersed in water.
- Ensure the soil sensors are clean for accurate readings. Gently wipe them if soil buildup occurs.
- Avoid exposing the controller to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
