6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Waste Box
The transparent waste box has a large capacity but should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal performance.
- Ensure the sharpener is turned off or unplugged if connected to a power source.
- Gently lift the lid of the sharpener. The sharpener will automatically power off for safety.
- Remove the transparent waste box.
- Empty the pencil shavings into a trash receptacle.
- Wipe the inside of the waste box with a dry cloth if necessary.
- Reinsert the waste box and securely close the lid until it clicks into place.

6.2 Replacing the Blade (Tool Holder)
The helical blade is designed for long-lasting use (up to 5000 sharpenings) but can be replaced if it becomes dull.

- Ensure the sharpener is turned off or unplugged.
- Open the lid and remove the waste box (refer to Figure 9, steps 1 & 2).
- Press and hold the body of the sharpener, then rotate the knife holder cover counterclockwise to unlock it.
- Carefully take out the old knife holder (blade assembly).
- Insert the new knife holder. Ensure the bayonet on the knife holder cover aligns with the position of the cutting head below.
- Buckle the knife holder cover down and turn it to the left to tighten it.
- Put the waste box back into place and fasten the lid securely.
