4. Maintenance
4.1 General Care
- Keep the battery clean and dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Do not disassemble, puncture, or modify the battery.
- Avoid dropping the battery or subjecting it to strong impacts. The battery is made of fireproof PC material, resistant to falling.
- Always use the specified charger for recharging.
4.2 Storage
- For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Recharge the battery every 3-6 months during long-term storage to prevent deep discharge.
4.3 Safety Precautions
- Do not put the battery into fire or expose it to high temperatures (above 60°C / 140°F).
- Do not short circuit the battery terminals.
- Keep out of reach of children.
5. Troubleshooting
The ZIFON V-Mount battery is equipped with 6 circuit protection features to ensure safe operation. If you encounter issues, consider the following:

Figure 7: 6 Circuit Protection features.
- Battery not charging: Ensure the charger is properly connected and powered. Verify that the battery's charging port is clean and free of debris. If the battery is completely depleted, it may take a few minutes for the charging indicator to appear.
- Battery not powering device: Check that the battery is securely mounted to the device and that all cables (D-TAP, USB) are correctly connected. Ensure the device is compatible with the battery's voltage and power output. Check the battery's power display to confirm it has sufficient charge.
- Overload/Short Circuit Protection: If the battery suddenly stops providing power, it might have triggered its overcurrent or short circuit protection. Disconnect the battery from the device, wait a few moments, and then reconnect. If the issue persists, check the connected device for faults.
- Overheating: If the battery feels excessively hot, disconnect it immediately and allow it to cool down in a well-ventilated area. This may indicate an issue with the battery or the connected device, or it could be due to high ambient temperatures.
