Intel EMA allows for remote control and management of the host, including:

  • Viewing a list of managed hosts.
  • Performing endpoint actions such as wake-up, sleep, hibernate, shutdown, and restart.
  • Direct remote control of the host via Remote Desktop.
  • Accessing the BIOS interface for system repair or reinstallation, even if the system crashes.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cooling

The Mini PC features a solid-built full aluminum shell with high tooth fins, acting as a passive heat-sink for efficient cooling. For scenarios requiring additional cooling, an external 4-pin fan is included as a gift and can be connected to the CPU_FAN1 or SYS_FAN1/2 headers on the motherboard (refer to Figure 3.7).

5.2 Cleaning

To maintain optimal performance and longevity, periodically clean the exterior of the Mini PC with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the ventilation fins are free from dust accumulation. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.

5.3 Upgrades

The Mini PC is designed for easy upgrades:

  • Memory: The device has 2xDDR5 SODIMM non-ECC laptop RAM slots, supporting up to 96GB at 4800/5600MHz.
  • Storage: It supports 2x M.2 NVME/PCIEx4 2280 SSDs and 1x SATA 3.0 drive.
  • Wireless Modules: It includes M.2 E_Key 2230 for CNVI WiFi, M.2_B Key for 4G/5G LTE, and a Mini PCIE slot for 4G LTE.
  • Expansion Cards: The PCIEx8 expansion slot allows for the installation of optional SFP modules (refer to Section 3.3).

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the DC-19V power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet.
  • No Display: Verify that the monitor is correctly connected to the HDMI, DP, or Type-C port and is set to the correct input source. Try different display outputs or cables.
  • Network Connectivity Issues: Check all Ethernet and SFP cable connections. Verify network settings in your operating system. Ensure the correct SFP modules are installed and recognized.
  • System Crash/Unresponsive: If the system crashes, you can restart the host and enter the BIOS interface to attempt repair or reinstall the operating system.
  • BIOS Reset: If you encounter issues after changing BIOS settings, locate the CLR_CMOS pin on the motherboard (Item 9 in Figure 3.6) and follow the motherboard's instructions to clear the CMOS settings.
