Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your JEYI M.2 SSD Heatsink:

  1. Prepare the SSD: Gently peel off the protective film from one side of a thermal pad. Carefully place the thermal pad onto the top surface of your M.2 SSD, ensuring good coverage.
  2. Attach Heatsink Base: Place the SSD with the thermal pad into the heatsink's bottom piece.
  3. Secure the Top Cover: Place the heatsink's top cover over the SSD and bottom piece. Use the provided screws to secure the two halves together. The double-sided clip design and adjustable height screws ensure a stable installation.
  4. Insert into Slot: Carefully insert the assembled SSD and heatsink into the M.2 slot on your motherboard or PS5.

Operation

Once installed, the JEYI icold-007 heatsink operates passively to dissipate heat generated by your M.2 SSD. Heatsink Does Not Fit:

  • SSD Length: Confirm your M.2 SSD is 2280mm in length. This heatsink is designed specifically for 2280 SSDs.
  • Clearance: Check for obstructions in your PC case or PS5 M.2 slot, such as other components or tight clearances. The heatsink has a 10mm total installation height.

User Tips

  • When applying thermal pads, ensure the surface of the SSD is clean and free of dust or debris for maximum thermal transfer.
  • For optimal cooling, consider the overall airflow in your system. Better case ventilation can further enhance the heatsink's performance.
