7. Troubleshooting
7.1 Cannot Upload Data to PC or View with Google Earth
Issue: Users report difficulty finding compatible software to upload data to a PC or view it directly with Google Earth.
Solution: The manufacturer notes that due to limitations with Google Maps, this device cannot directly upload files for viewing with Google Earth. Please use the dedicated PC software provided with the device (e.g., 'nf_198_en.exe' as seen in the video demonstration) to export and view your measurement data. This software allows you to connect the device, read data, and save images of the measured areas, but it operates independently of Google Earth's direct integration.
7.2 Language Settings
Issue: Device language is not in the desired language (e.g., English).
Solution: The device typically supports multiple languages. Navigate to the 'Setting' menu on the device. Look for a 'Language' or 'Idioma' option and select your preferred language (e.g., English). If you cannot find this option, refer to the on-screen icons for guidance or consult the manufacturer's support.
8. User Tips
- Optimal Satellite Reception: For best accuracy, ensure you are in an open area with a clear view of the sky when performing measurements. Wait for the device to acquire signals from at least 6 satellites before starting.
- Battery Management: Always ensure your device is fully charged before heading out for extensive measurements. Carry a spare charged battery if available, or a portable power bank for recharging via the USB cable.
- Data Backup: Regularly export your historical data to your PC to prevent loss, especially before performing a factory reset or if you anticipate needing the data for long-term records.
- Software Updates: Check the official Noyafa website periodically for any software or firmware updates for your device, which may improve performance or add new features.
