1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your TPTEK Wifi PTZ IP Camera. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper setup and functionality. This camera is designed for both indoor and outdoor security surveillance, offering high-resolution video, optical zoom, and advanced features like motion detection and two-way audio.

2. Safety Information

  • Ensure the power supply matches the camera's requirements (DC12V 1A).
  • Do not expose the camera to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-40°C to +60°C).
  • Avoid direct exposure to water or moisture unless the camera is specifically rated for such conditions (IP66 weatherproof).
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the camera. This may void the warranty and cause damage.
  • Keep the camera away from strong magnetic fields or sources of electrical interference.

4. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the camera's components:

  • Wi-Fi Antenna: For wireless network connection.

5. Setup

5.1. Installation

The camera is designed for wall-mounted installation, suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. Ensure the mounting surface is sturdy enough to support the camera's weight.

  • Choose a suitable location for installation, ensuring a clear view and good Wi-Fi signal if using wireless connection.
  • Use the provided screws and screwdriver to securely mount the camera bracket to the wall.
  • Attach the camera to the mounted bracket.

5.2. Power Connection

  • Connect the provided DC12V power adapter to the camera's power port.
  • Plug the power adapter into a suitable electrical outlet.

5.3. Network Connection

The camera supports both Wi-Fi (2.4GHz only) and wired LAN connections.

  • Wi-Fi Connection:
    1. Ensure your Wi-Fi router is operating on the 2.4GHz band. The camera does not support 5GHz Wi-Fi.
    2. Follow the instructions in the mobile app (CamHi/CamHipro) to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network.
  • LAN Cable Connection:
    1. Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the camera's RJ45 port.
    2. The camera will automatically establish a wired network connection.

5.4. TF Card Installation (Optional)

To enable local video recording, install a MicroSD (TF) card (up to 128GB, not included unless specified in your order).

  • Locate the TF card slot on the rear of the camera (refer to Figure 5).
  • Carefully insert the TF card into the slot until it clicks into place.
  • Ensure the waterproof lid is securely closed after installation to maintain IP66 rating.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. App Installation and Remote Access

  • Download the "CamHi" or "CamHipro" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). For PC, use "HiP2P Client" software.
  • Register an account and log in.
  • Add your camera to the app by following the on-screen instructions (usually by scanning a QR code or searching for the device on the local network).
  • Once added, you can remotely access live video from anywhere with an internet connection.

6.2. Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) Control

  • In the live view interface of the app, use the on-screen controls to pan (horizontal rotation up to 350°), tilt (vertical rotation up to 90°), and zoom (5X optical zoom) the camera.
  • Preset Positions: You can set up to 8 preset positions for quick navigation to important areas. In the app, navigate to camera settings, find "Preset Positions," and follow the instructions to save and recall positions.

6.3. Night Vision Modes

The camera offers three night vision modes:

  • Ordinary Night Vision (B&W): Uses Infrared LEDs for clear black and white images up to 30 meters in low light.
  • Full Color Night Vision: Uses the 4Pcs Spot White Light LEDs to provide color images up to 20 meters in low light.
  • Smart Night Vision: Automatically switches between B&W and color night vision based on detected motion or user settings.

6.4. Two-Way Audio

The built-in microphone and speaker allow for two-way communication.

  • In the live view of the app, tap the microphone icon to speak through the camera's speaker.
  • The camera's microphone will pick up audio from the surveillance area.

6.5. Motion Detection and Alarm

The camera features intelligent motion detection and tracking.

  • Auto Motion Tracking: Enable this function in the app settings. When a moving object enters the monitored area, the camera will automatically adjust its pan/tilt to track the object.
  • Alarm Actions: Configure alarm actions such as push notifications to your phone, email alerts with photos, and motion detection recording. The camera can also trigger its spotlights and siren to deter intruders.
  • Customizable Motion Detection Zones: Define specific areas within the camera's view where motion detection should be active, reducing false alarms.

6.6. Recording and Storage

The camera supports various recording and storage options:

  • TF Card Recording: If a TF card is installed, the camera will record video locally. You can view playback through the mobile app or PC software.
  • NVR/NAS Recording: The camera supports Onvif protocol, allowing integration with third-party Network Video Recorders (NVRs) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices (e.g., Blue Iris, iSpy, Synology NAS, Qnap NAS).

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear image quality. Do not use harsh chemicals.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the CamHi/CamHipro app periodically for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Power Cycle: If the camera experiences issues, try power cycling it by unplugging and re-plugging the power adapter.
  • Reset: If problems persist, use the reset button (refer to Figure 5) to restore factory settings. Note that this will erase all custom configurations.

8. Troubleshooting
