5. Installation
5.1 Mounting
- Choose a suitable flat surface on your vehicle for mounting, such as the grill, bumper, or side panel.
- Use the provided mounting screws and nuts to securely fasten the light unit. A foam pad can be used between the light and the mounting surface for added stability and vibration dampening.
- Ensure the light is positioned to provide optimal visibility without obstructing other vehicle lights or sensors.
5.2 Wiring Method
The 4LED Strobe Warning Light uses a 3-wire connection system:
- Red Wire: Connect to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's 12V/24V power supply.
- Black Wire: Connect to the negative (-) terminal (ground) of your vehicle's power supply.
- Yellow Wire: This wire is used to change the flashing mode. Momentarily connect the yellow wire to the positive (+) terminal to cycle through the available modes. Once the desired mode is selected, release the yellow wire to fix the mode.
6. Operation
6.1 Powering On/Off
Once correctly wired, the light will activate when power is supplied to the red and black wires. To turn the light off, disconnect the power supply.
6.2 Changing Flashing Modes
The light features 18 different modes, including a fixed (constantly on) mode and 17 flashing patterns. To cycle through these modes, briefly touch the yellow wire to the positive (+) power source. Each touch will advance to the next mode. Once your desired mode is displayed, remove the yellow wire from the positive connection, and the light will remain in that mode.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the lens with a soft, damp cloth to ensure maximum light output. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the PC lens.
- Inspection: Periodically check the wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose connections.
- Durability: The light is designed with a heat-resistant aluminum alloy housing for efficient heat dissipation and a waterproof PC lens (IPX-4 rated) to withstand rain and car washing.
8. Troubleshooting
- Light not turning on:
- Check all wiring connections (red to positive, black to negative) for proper contact.
- Verify that the vehicle's power source is active and providing the correct voltage (12V/24V).
- Inspect the fuse in the vehicle's circuit, if applicable. - Light not changing modes:
- Ensure the yellow wire is making proper momentary contact with the positive (+) terminal.
- Check for any damage to the yellow wire or its connection point. - Dim or inconsistent light output:
- Check for sufficient power supply and stable voltage.
- Clean the lens surface to remove any dirt or debris.
