Setup

Powering the Keyboard

Your Bontempi electronic keyboard can be powered in two ways:

  1. Using the Network Adapter (Included):
    • Locate the DC IN socket on the back or side of the keyboard.
    • Plug the network adapter into the DC IN socket.
    • Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  2. Using Batteries (Not Included):
    • Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
    • Open the battery compartment cover.
    • Insert 4 R6/AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
    • Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Important: Always remove batteries if the keyboard will not be used for an extended period or if using the network adapter.

Connecting a Microphone (Optional)

If you wish to use a microphone with your keyboard:

  • Locate the condenser microphone jack on the keyboard.
  • Plug a compatible condenser microphone (not included) into this jack.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

  • To turn on the keyboard, press the POWER button. The digital display will light up.
  • To turn off the keyboard, press the POWER button again.

Volume and Tempo Adjustment

  • Volume: Use the VOLUME +/- buttons to increase or decrease the overall sound level.
  • Tempo: Use the TEMPO +/- buttons to adjust the speed of rhythms and pre-recorded songs.

Selecting Sounds (Tones) and Rhythms

The keyboard features 100 sounds and 100 rhythms.

  • Press the SELECT button.
  • Use the numbered buttons (1-5) or the +/- buttons to cycle through the available sounds or rhythms. The 2-digit display will show the selected number.

Playing Pre-recorded Songs

There are 10 pre-recorded songs available.

  • Press the DEMO ONE button to play the first demo song.
  • Press DEMO ALL to cycle through all 10 demo songs.
  • Press START/STOP to stop playback.

Recording and Playback

  • Record: Press the RECORD button to begin recording your performance. Play your desired melody on the keys.
  • Playback: Press the PLAY button to listen to your recorded melody.

Special Effects and Pads

  • Sustain: Press the SUSTAIN button to add a lingering effect to the notes you play.
  • Vibrato: Press the VIBRATO button to add a wavering pitch effect to the notes.
  • Pads: The keyboard includes 5 pads that can produce instrument sounds or animal voices. Press these pads to activate their respective sounds.
  • FILL-IN: Use the FILL-IN button to add a short rhythmic variation during rhythm playback.
  • SYNC: The SYNC button can be used to synchronize a rhythm with your playing.
  • CHORD: The CHORD function allows for easy chord playing. Refer to the keyboard's specific chord mode instructions for details.

USB Connectivity
