1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing our car multimedia system accessory. This manual provides detailed instructions for the QSZN Canbus Box Adaptor Decoder and 16Pin Power Wiring Harness Cable, designed to integrate with Android Car Radio Stereo systems in compatible BMW models. Please read these instructions carefully to ensure effective and safe use of your device.

Note: Due to continuous product improvements, some descriptions in this manual may differ slightly from the actual equipment.

1.1 Safety Information

Attention! Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in damage to the device or personal injury. Warranty service will not be performed for violations.

  1. It is forbidden to watch videos or other visual accessories while driving. Active use of the system during driving is not recommended as it can reduce attention and may result in traffic violations and road accidents.
  2. The unit is designed for use in cars with a 12V power supply and a negative ground. Do not install the system in a bus or truck with an on-board voltage of 24V, as this may cause damage to the device.
  3. Use a special cleaning device to take care of the screen.
  4. To avoid overheating, do not allow direct exposure to sunlight and do not install near the heating system. Operating temperature is between 0°C and 35°C. If the temperature inside the vehicle is too high, cool the interior before switching on. Do not operate the unit at very low temperatures; wait until the interior and vehicle temperatures return to normal.
  5. Only use the fasteners provided (screws, mounting frames, etc.) for installation. Using other fasteners may result in damage to the system and is not covered by the warranty.
  6. Installation and connection of the device shall be performed by a qualified specialist or specially trained staff of a service center.
  7. Do not reset to factory settings on your own unless in extreme cases, as this will cause loss of settings and may result in incorrect operation of the system.
  8. Violation of the above items and improper use may cause the system to malfunction. In this case, warranty service will not be performed.

4. Installation

4.3 Rear Camera Connection Method

Proper connection of the rearview camera is crucial for safe operation.

4.3.1 Without CANBus Box

Connect the Rear Camera control wire to A5. The car reversing light 12V should be connected to the 'Reversing mode Control' input. Connect the 12V Reverse Light Power Supply to the camera. Ensure GND is connected to Car Ground.

4.3.2 With CANBus Box

If you are using a CANBus box and the reverse control line (A3 area) is connected to the CANBus box, the yellow line connection for rear camera control is not needed. Connect the camera power 12V to the camera. Connect GND to Car Ground. Note that only the two red wires (camera power supply) should be connected together, without connecting to other wires.

4.4 CANBus Box Connection Mode

If your car's original functions (e.g., steering wheel control) are not working, you need to set the CANBus type. Before setting up, check your CANBus photo and select the corresponding type.

Setup steps:

  1. Connect the CANBus box as shown in the picture (refer to Figure 5 for general connection points).
  2. On the device, go to Settings > Factory > Car Model.
  3. Enter the password: 3368.
  4. Select the appropriate CANBus type for your vehicle.

5. Operation

5.1 Switching the Appliance On/Off

  • Switching on: After switching off the ignition and starting the engine, the multimedia system is automatically switched on. The display shows the initial screen.
  • Exception: The unit activates automatically after the engine is switched off.

5.2 Touch Screen Operation

This unit is equipped with an interactive touchscreen display. Before first use, remove the sealed plastic membrane. Otherwise, the touch screen may not function properly.

  • Touch: Click the necessary item with your finger to start the plugin (signal source) or select the menu item (option).
  • Double Tap: A quick double touch allows you to resize when viewing images.
  • Touch & Hold: Click and hold the item for 2 seconds to trigger an additional action available for that item.
  • Dragging: Touch and hold the selected item, then drag it onto the screen.
  • Moving: Rotate the screen with your finger and keep your finger touched, move your finger in the right direction throughout the screen.
  • Scroll through: Move your finger on the screen in the direction you need to and let go. Rotation can be stopped by touching the screen, or wait until the motion stops itself.

Attention! Do not use metal or sharply pointed objects to control the sensory interactive display. Also, do not apply excessive force when touching the screen.

5.3 Main Interface Customization

You can customize the position of icons in the main interface. All applications can be freely edited according to the position of the quick menu bar for easy operation. To change the wallpaper, you can select a picture or photo from pre-installed options, USB memory, or SD card.

5.4 FM/AM Radio

To access the Radio, click the 'Radio' icon on the main menu. You can manually tune, auto-scan, save stations, and adjust settings like LOC/DX mode and MONO mode. Tapping on the scale bar allows quick frequency selection.

5.5 DSP Processor/Equalizer

Access the equalizer (EQ) option via the 'Radio' or 'Equalizer' icon. The DSP chip allows for advanced sound settings:

  • Equalizer Mode: Adjust sound using different frequency settings (32 bands). Presets include Rock, Soft, Jazz, Pop, Classical, Hall. Use the 'standard' button to reset.
  • Automatic Volume Mode: Choose recommended settings for listener position (Driver Mode, Passenger Mode, Rear, Center) or adjust manually on the car diagram.
  • Balance Mode: Adjust the volume ratio of speakers by moving a point on the car interior layout. Supports parametric bass tuning.
  • Bass Enhancement: Reverse high and low frequency tones and change the boost factor.
  • Bass Filter: Set the desired frequency for each speaker.

5.6 Music / Video Playback

Connect a USB storage device or insert an SD card. Press the 'Music' icon for audio playback or 'Video' for video playback. Supported video formats include Mp4, AVI, MMV, MOV, MKY, MPEG, RMVB, etc.

Attention! For safety, video playback is disabled while the car is in motion. To view videos, stop in a safe place and apply the handbrake.

5.7 Bluetooth (BT)

From the main menu, click the 'BT' icon to enter the hands-free interface. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and search for new devices. When prompted, confirm the connection and enter the password (0000). The system screen will show 'connected' upon successful pairing. Features include call log, dialing interface, telephone book, and BT music streaming.

5.8 Car Link (CarPlay/Android Auto)

Car Link allows you to use your iPhone (Wireless CarPlay) or Android phone (Android Auto) safely while driving, enabling navigation, calls, messages, and music.

5.8.1 Wireless CarPlay (iOS System) Connection Steps:

  1. Connect your phone via Bluetooth.
  2. Tap on "Car Link". Your phone will ask for authorization; authorize the connection and wait.

5.8.2 Android Auto Connection Steps:

  1. Connect the mobile phone and car DVD player with a USB cable.
  2. Tap on "Car Link". Your phone will ask for authorization; authorize the connection and wait.

5.9 Split Screen

The device supports split screen functionality, allowing you to display two applications simultaneously (e.g., navigation and music). To exit split screen mode, pull the icon between the two screens to the right.

5.10 MAP Navigation

The system features a built-in global positioning system for omnidirectional map display, synchronous real-time traffic, and accurate positioning. Supported navigation apps include Navitel, iGO, Yandex, and Google Maps.

5.11 Cooling Fan Operation

To start the cooling fan, navigate to Settings > Device > Sound > AMP ON. This helps maintain optimal operating temperature.

5.12 4G LTE Connectivity

With 4G LTE connectivity, you can watch live video, listen to music, play games, and access the internet. Insert a 4G SIM card into the slot: push the iron plate down to open, insert the card, then pull the iron plate up to fix it in place.

5.13 Language Settings

To change the system language, go to Settings > General > Language And Input. Select your desired language and press and hold to move it to the first position.

5.14 Main Menu Interface Settings

The product offers 5 different main menu screens. To select, go to Settings > Factory > Home Launcher Selection and enter password 3368.

5.15 Launcher App Setting

The device has multicolor illumination. You can set the light mode or enable automatic color change via Settings > Device > Launcher App Setting > Lantern settings.

6. Additional Features

The following features require additional accessories, which must be purchased separately.

  • DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus): Provides better sound quality and stronger signal for radio.
  • OBD II (On-Board Diagnostics II): Monitor real-time vehicle data and fault codes.
  • TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System): Sensors monitor tire pressure and temperature, transmitting statistics to the receiver.
  • AV OUTPUT: Output displayed content to rear passengers for HD video and audio on headrest screens.
  • 360° Camera: Requires a built-in 360 Camera Chip on the motherboard radio for panoramic views.
  • ADAS DVR (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems Digital Video Recorder): Provides driving recording with collision warning, distance prediction, and lane departure warnings.
  • AHD HD Reversing: Automatic activation of video input for a sharper rearview image compared to conventional cameras.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter problems, try disconnecting and reconnecting your device. Use the special key to press the Reset button. If the issue persists, refer to the table below or consult your authorized dealer.
