4. Installation

Professional installation is recommended for this product. Refer to the detailed installation guide provided in the package and the wiring diagram below. A PDF version of the user manual with installation details is available: User Manual (PDF).

4.1 Steering Wheel Lock Removal

To install the keyless entry system, the car's steering wheel lock mechanism needs to be bypassed or removed. Follow these steps:

  1. Unplug the ignition wire plug.
  2. Cut off the iron sheet of the steering wheel lock.
  3. Fix the steering wheel to avoid locking.
  4. Position the original car key's chip near the RFID sensor coil. Ensure there is a 1-2mm gap from the outside to allow the key to move in the brake.

4.2 RFID Chip Installation

For the RFID system to function correctly, the original car key's chip must be integrated with the new system. This typically involves placing the original key's transponder chip within the RFID sensor coil.

  • Put the original remote key into the RFID sensor coil.
  • Verify that the induction signal of the chip/remote is strong and reliable.

4.3 Wiring Diagram

The following diagram illustrates the wiring connections for the push start system. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly matched to your vehicle's electrical system. Incorrect wiring can cause damage to the system or the vehicle.

5. Operation

This section details how to use the one-button start/stop functionality of your system.

This mode allows cycling through ignition states without starting the engine.

  1. ACC Status: Short press the Start/Stop button once. The car enters ACC (Accessory) status.
  2. ON Status: Short press the Start/Stop button again. The car enters ON (Ignition) status.
  3. OFF Status: Short press the Start/Stop button one more time. The car returns to OFF status.

  • To Stop the Engine: When the engine is running, step on the foot brake for one second. While holding the foot brake, press and release the START/STOP button for one second. The engine will stop, and the LED on the start control button will turn off.

5.3 Anti-Theft Function

The anti-theft device will activate automatically when the car stops after the engine is turned off (flameout).

6. Troubleshooting

  • Engine Fails to Start in Cold Weather: If the engine does not start normally in cold winter conditions, press and hold the push start button for 3 seconds. This will initiate a longer cranking cycle to help start the car.
  • Button Does Not Turn Off: Ensure the engine is completely off and the foot brake is pressed when attempting to turn off the system. If the issue persists, check wiring connections.
  • System Not Responding: Verify that the RFID key is within range of the sensor coil and that the car's battery has sufficient charge. Check all wiring connections for looseness or damage.

7. User Tips

  • Steering Wheel Lock: Remember to properly neutralize or remove your car's steering wheel lock mechanism during installation to prevent issues.
  • RFID Key Placement: For optimal performance, ensure the RFID key (or the original car key's chip) is securely placed within the RFID sensor coil and not too far away.
  • Alarm Functionality: While the system includes anti-theft features, it is primarily a keyless entry and start system. For advanced alarm features, ensure compatibility with your existing car alarm system.
  • Relay Installation: Depending on your vehicle's specific wiring and power requirements, you might need to install additional relays for certain circuits. Consult your vehicle's wiring diagram or a professional installer.

8. Maintenance

  • Regular Checks: Periodically inspect all wiring connections for signs of wear, corrosion, or looseness.
  • Cleanliness: Keep the push start button and RFID sensor coil free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Battery Health: Ensure your car's battery is in good condition, as a weak battery can affect the performance of the keyless start system.
