4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting the Device
The monitor comes with two types of mounts: a vertical stand and a suction cup stand. Choose the most suitable method for your vehicle dashboard or windshield.
4.2 Wiring Instructions
The product is designed to be powered via a standard cigarette lighter charger. Ensure you use the provided original charger or a compliant high-quality cigarette charger. Using an incompatible charger can damage the device or cause injuries due to insufficient voltage and heat.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 General Interface and Navigation
The device features a full capacitive touch screen for easy operation. The main interface displays various applications such as Apple Carplay, Android Auto, AirPlay, Mirror Cast, Media Player, and FM Transmitter. You can navigate through these functions by tapping their respective icons.
5.2 Wireless Apple CarPlay Setup
To use Wireless Apple CarPlay:
- On the monitor, click the 'Apple Carplay' button to enter the Wireless CarPlay interface.
- Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iPhone.
- On the monitor, select the 'Wireless CarPlay' option, then click the 'BT Manage' option.
- On your iPhone, go to Bluetooth settings and find the device name (e.g., T86-1C8D7B). Tap to connect.
- Allow any requested permissions on your iPhone, such as access to contacts and call history, and confirm pairing.
- When prompted, select 'Use CarPlay' with 'SmartScreen'.
The monitor will automatically connect to the last paired phone when powered on. Note that the first connection may take longer. This function is supported only by iPhones.
5.3 Wireless Android Auto Setup
To use Wireless Android Auto:
- On the monitor, click the 'Android Auto' button to enter the Wireless Android Auto interface.
- Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your Android phone.
- On the monitor, select the 'Wireless Android Auto' option, then click the 'BT Manage' option.
- On your Android phone, go to Bluetooth settings and find the device name (e.g., T86-1C8D7B). Tap to connect.
- Allow any requested permissions on your Android phone, such as access to contacts and call history, and confirm pairing.
The monitor will automatically connect to the last paired phone when powered on. This function requires an Android phone running Android 11 or higher and 5G Wi-Fi. Please download the latest Android Auto application on your phone. This mode does not support the Bluetooth music function.
5.4 Airplay (iPhone Only)
To use Airplay:
- Connect your iPhone to the monitor's Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi name is typically 'CARLINK-15CCC1'.
- The default Wi-Fi password is '12345678'.
- On your iPhone, open the Control Center, select 'Screen Mirroring', and then choose 'SmartScreen'.
5.5 Mirror Link (Android Only)
To use Mirror Link:
- On the monitor, select the 'Mirror Cast' option.
- Download, install, and run the 'TCLink' application on your Android phone.
- Select 'WiFiDirect' connection mode on your phone and connect to the device named 'CARLINK-15CCC1'.
Note: Mirror Link only supports Android phones and does not support Bluetooth music function.
5.6 Bluetooth Music
You can connect your mobile phone to the smart screen via Bluetooth to play music directly through the monitor's built-in speaker or via FM transmission to your car's speakers.
5.7 FM Transmitter
To transmit audio to your car's radio:
- Click the 'FM Transmitter' icon on the device.
- Turn on the FM Transmitter function on the monitor. The monitor's built-in speaker will be muted.
- Tune your car's factory radio to the same FM frequency displayed on the SmartScreen (e.g., FM 106.0 MHz).
- Once connected, all audio from the monitor will be sent to your car's original speakers for playback.
Ensure the original car charger or a step-down cable is used for this function to work normally.
5.8 Voice Control
