  5. Completion: The indicator lights will become constantly on once the clone is finished.

Notes:

  • The target drive (Disk B) must be equal to or larger in capacity than the source drive (Disk A).
  • Do not move or remove disks during the cloning process.
  • Do not connect the docking station to a computer during an offline clone.
  • After cloning, the target disk may need to be activated by connecting it to a computer (PC Management – Disk Management – Online).
  • The offline clone speed is approximately 500GB per 2 hours.

8. Maintenance

8.1 Auto Sleep Mode

The docking station features a 10-minute auto sleep mode. This function effectively extends the lifespan of your hard drives and helps prevent data loss or corruption by putting the drives into a low-power state when inactive.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What kind of hard disks does this dock support?
A: 2.5/3.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD are supported.
Q: What devices does this dock support?
A: It supports laptops, PCs, smart TVs, PS4/5, phones (with OTG function), iPads, routers, projectors, DVDs, and TV boxes.
Q: What's the transmission speed?
A: The theoretical transmission speed is 10Gbps via the Type-C port. The SATA port speed is 6Gbps. The offline clone speed is approximately 500GB/2hrs. Actual speed may be affected by the host and terminal devices used, as well as the capacity of the target disk.
Q: What is the difference between the docking station and an SSD enclosure?
