5. Setup and Installation
This product is suitable for standard 86x86mm wall boxes and 60mm European round boxes.
Wiring Diagram
Ensure correct wiring based on your thermostat model (EP, WP, WPB) and heating system type. Incorrect wiring can cause damage or safety hazards.
Installation Steps
- Connect the power box: Connect the power box according to the appropriate wiring diagram for your model.
- Separate power supply: Separate the power supply from the control board cable.
- Mount the power supply: Screw the power supply into the 86mm wall box.
- Connect control board: Connect the control board to the board line, aligning the buckle at 30 degrees to complete the installation.
6. Operation
Display and Icon Description
The thermostat features a clear display with various icons indicating its status and settings.
Basic Operation
- Power On/Off: Press the power button () to turn the thermostat on or off.
- Set Temperature: Press the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the desired temperature.
- Set the Clock: Press the clock icon () to set minutes. Use "+" or "-" for adjustment. Then press the grid icon () to adjust the hour and week.
- Switch Modes: Press the grid icon () to switch between Manual and Programming mode.
- In Manual mode, the hand icon () will display. Use "+" or "-" to set the temperature.

- Child Lock: Simultaneously press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons to activate the child lock. A lock icon (
) will appear. Repeat the action to cancel the child lock.
Programming Mode
To set the programming mode:
- Press and hold the grid icon () to enter programming mode settings. The time and day indicators (1-5) will display.
- Use "+" or "-" to set the time for each period.
- Press the grid icon () to enter temperature adjustment for the current period.
- Use "+" or "-" to set the temperature for the current period.
- Press the grid icon () to move to the next period adjustment.
- Press the power button () to exit and save your settings.
If you need to make a temporary adjustment during a programmed period, press "+" or "-". The hand icon () will display. The thermostat will follow your manual setting until the next programmed time point, then resume the schedule.

Remark: The default temperature for period 3 and 4 is the same as period 2. Adjust as needed. Do not set the last time point of any day beyond 23:59.

To access advanced settings, ensure the thermostat is powered off. Press and hold the grid icon () and the clock icon () simultaneously for 5 seconds. Press the grid icon () to navigate through options, and "+" or "-" to adjust values. Press the power button () to save and exit.

7. Wi-Fi Connection and App Operation
The Beok TDR89-WIFI Smart Thermostat can be controlled remotely via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your smartphone. It also supports voice control through Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Yandex Alice.
Preparation before Wi-Fi Connection
- Ensure your mobile phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on.
- Connect your mobile phone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (5GHz networks are not supported).
APP Download and Account Registration
Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" app:
- For iOS: Search "Tuya Smart" in the App Store.
- For Android: Search "Tuya Smart" in Google Play.
Alternatively, scan the QR code below to download the app:
Register Account: If you don't have an account, choose to register via SMS verification code. Click "Create a new account", agree to the Privacy Policy, and follow the prompts to enter your mobile number/email, get a verification code, set a password, and click "Finish" to register.
Add Device
There are several ways to add your thermostat to the app:
- Activate Thermostat Wi-Fi Module: With the thermostat powered on, press and hold the "+" button for 5 seconds. The Wi-Fi icon on the thermostat display will flash, indicating it's in code matching state.
- Method 1 (Auto-discovery): Open the Tuya app. If the thermostat is in pairing mode, the app may automatically pop up "Device to be added". Click "Add" and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Method 2 (Manual Add): On the app's homepage, click "Add Device" or the "+" icon in the upper right corner. Navigate to the "Add Device" interface. The app may prompt you if it finds the device. Follow the prompts.
- Method 3 (Category Selection): In the Tuya app, click "+" on the homepage. Find "Small Home Appliances" and then select the temperature control product (Bluetooth + Wi-Fi model). Ignore the content on the next page and tap "Next".
- Confirm Pairing: The app will ask you to confirm if the indicator is blinking. Tick the confirmation and click "Next".
- Enter Wi-Fi Information: Enter the name and password of your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Ensure the Wi-Fi name and password contain only numbers and letters (no special symbols). Follow the prompts. The device will be added, and after a few seconds, you will see a success message. The duration depends on your Wi-Fi signal strength.

8. Troubleshooting
- Sensor Error (Er): If "Er" appears on the screen, it indicates a sensor error. This can happen if no external sensor is connected but the thermostat is set to "ALL" or "OUT" sensor mode. The thermostat will stop heating until the problem is resolved. Ensure the correct sensor mode is selected for your setup.
- Difficulty Connecting to App: If you cannot put the thermostat in sync mode or connect to the Tuya app, ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, and the thermostat's Wi-Fi module is activated (Wi-Fi icon flashing after holding "+" for 5 seconds). Double-check your Wi-Fi password for special characters.
