4.3 Installation Notes
- Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized.
- Install appropriate circuit breakers for all AC and DC lines to protect against overcurrent.
- Mount the inverter in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- The starting power of inductive load electrical appliances should be at least three times the rated power of the appliances to avoid inverter damage. Select a suitable model before purchasing.
5. Operation
5.1 Dual Output Function
The inverter features main and secondary AC outputs. Under normal conditions, both outputs are active. However, the main output will be disconnected, and only the secondary output will remain active under these two conditions:
- When there is no solar power input and no mains power input.
- When the battery voltage drops below 44V (configurable between 41V and 46V).
This feature allows you to prioritize essential loads connected to the secondary output, extending their operation time during low battery conditions.
5.2 Inverter Start-up and Shutdown Sequence
Start-up Sequence:
- Turn on the battery switch.
- Start the inverter.
- Turn on the PV (solar panel) switch.
- Turn on the mains (utility) switch.
- Turn on the load switches.
Shutdown Sequence:
- Turn off the load switches.
- Turn off the PV (solar panel) switch.
- Turn off the mains (utility) switch.
- Turn off the inverter.
- Finally, turn off the battery switch.
5.3 WIFI Monitoring
The inverter supports WIFI monitoring, allowing you to control and monitor the system's operation via a mobile phone application (PVguarder APP) or web interface (PVguarder Web).

6. Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the inverter for any visible damage, loose connections, or signs of overheating.
- Keep the inverter's ventilation openings clear of dust and debris to ensure proper cooling. The built-in anti-dust kit helps, but periodic cleaning is still recommended.
- Check battery terminals for corrosion and ensure they are clean and tight.
- Monitor the system's performance via the LCD display or WIFI app for any unusual readings.
- For any internal maintenance or repairs, contact qualified service personnel.
7. Troubleshooting (FAQ)
- Q: Does the inverter require a battery to start?
- A: No, it can start without a battery, but the solar panel voltage should exceed 360VDC in that configuration.
- Q: Can it directly supply power to the load?
- A: Yes, it can directly supply power to the load.
- Q: Can the inverter be connected to the grid?
- A: Yes, it is a hybrid inverter that supports both off-grid and on-grid connections. PV power prioritizes the load, then charges the battery, and any excess can be fed into the grid (subject to local policies). Note: 1600W and 3000W models cannot feed remaining power to the grid.
- Q: How many solar panels are needed?
- A: To start normally, the solar panel voltage is recommended to be 300V-400V, not exceeding 500V. For PRO-3.6KW/PLUS-6.2KW models, the total solar panel power should not exceed 6.2KW/6.5KW respectively. For example, 10 pieces of 250W 30V solar panels connected in series would be suitable.
- Q: Can inverters be connected in series or parallel?
- A: No, these inverters cannot be connected in series or parallel.
- Q: Is this a high-frequency or low-frequency inverter?
- A: It is a high-frequency inverter.
- Q: Can the utility power the inverter when there is no sun?
- A: Yes, the utility can power the inverter.
- Q: What types of batteries can be used?
- A: Lead-acid, gel, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePo4), and other lithium batteries can be used. A 24V battery is for the 3.6KW model, and a 48V battery is for the 6.2KW model. The battery capacity should not be less than 100AH.
- Q: Can it be used with air conditioners, water pumps, and wind turbines?
- A: It can be used with air conditioners, but not with water pumps or wind turbines.

9. User Tips
- To achieve stable operation and save on electricity bills, it is recommended to connect a battery. When the operating mode is set to SBU (Solar-Battery-Utility), the system will prioritize solar power, then battery power, and use utility power only as a last resort.
- When selecting the inverter power for household appliances, especially those with inductive loads (e.g., refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners), ensure the inverter's power is at least three times the total power of these inductive loads to prevent startup issues or damage.
