1. Introduction

The Aubess Smart WiFi IR Remote Control allows you to transform your smartphone into a universal remote for various home appliances. By connecting to your home WiFi network and integrating with the Tuya Smart app, you can control devices such as TVs, air conditioners, set-top boxes, fans, and more, from anywhere. It also supports voice control through smart assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and offers advanced features like scheduling and automation.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Physical Setup

1. Place the Aubess Smart WiFi IR Remote Control in a central location within the room where you intend to control appliances. Ensure it has a clear line of sight to all IR-controlled devices.
2. Connect the provided USB cable to the device and plug the other end into a DC 5V/1A power adapter (not included) or a compatible USB port.
3. The indicator light on the device will begin to flash, indicating it is ready for pairing. If it does not flash, long-press the button on the bottom of the device for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode.

3.2 App Installation

Download the "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store (available on iOS and Android).

3.3 Connecting to WiFi

1. Open the Tuya Smart app and log in or register a new account.
2. Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is enabled. The app should automatically discover the "Smart IR" device.
3. Tap "Add" when prompted to add the device.
4. Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter the password. The device does not support 5GHz WiFi networks.
5. Once connected, the indicator light on the device will stop flashing and remain solid.

3.4 Adding a Remote (IR Learning)

The device supports a massive IR code database for quick matching, but also offers an IR learning function for unsupported brands or custom buttons.

1. In the Tuya Smart app, navigate to the newly added IR Controller.
2. Tap "Add" to add a new remote.
3. Select the type of appliance (e.g., TV, Air Conditioner, Set-top Box, Fan, DVD).
4. You will be prompted to choose between "Quick Match" or "Learn Match".

Quick Match:

• Search for the brand of your appliance in the provided list.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to test pre-loaded IR codes. Point your original remote at the Aubess device and press the indicated button in the app.
• Confirm if the device responds correctly. Repeat until a working code is found.

Learn Match (DIY):

• If your appliance brand is not listed or quick match fails, select "Learn Match".
• The app will guide you to point your original remote control at the Aubess device and press specific buttons to copy their IR signals.
• This allows you to customize buttons for any IR-controlled appliance.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 App Control

Once your appliance's remote is successfully added, you can control it directly from the Tuya Smart app. The app provides a virtual remote interface for each added device.

4.2 Voice Control

The Aubess Smart WiFi IR Remote Control is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. To enable voice control:

1. Ensure your IR Controller is successfully added to the Tuya Smart app.
2. Link your Tuya Smart account to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app.
3. Once linked, you can use voice commands such as:
   • "Alexa, turn on TV."
   • "OK Google, set air conditioning temperature to 25 degrees."

4.3 Timer and Automatic Trigger

Set schedules and automations within the Tuya Smart app to control your appliances based on time or other conditions:

• Timer: Schedule specific actions, such as turning on/off your TV or air conditioner at set times.

• Alexa/Google Home not playing music or telling time: The Aubess Smart WiFi IR Remote Control is an IR blaster for controlling traditional IR appliances. It does not have built-in smart assistant capabilities like playing music or telling time directly. These functions are handled by your Amazon Alexa or Google Home speaker itself, not by the IR remote.

8. User Tips
