5. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact customer support if issues arise.

6. Troubleshooting
- Device not pairing: Ensure the indicator light is flashing. If not, long-press the button on the bottom for 5 seconds. Check that your WiFi network is 2.4GHz.
- Appliance not responding: Verify that the IR remote has a clear line of sight to the appliance. Ensure the correct remote profile is selected in the app. If using IR learning, re-learn the commands carefully.
- Voice control not working: Confirm that your Tuya Smart account is correctly linked to your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app. Check your internet connection and the status of your smart assistant device.
- Alexa/Google Home not playing music or telling time: The Aubess Smart WiFi IR Remote Control is an IR blaster for controlling traditional IR appliances. It does not have built-in smart assistant capabilities like playing music or telling time directly. 8. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: For best performance, place the IR remote control in a central location in the room, ensuring it has a clear line of sight to all infrared-controlled appliances. Obstructions can block the IR signal.
- WiFi Compatibility: Remember that the device only supports 2.4GHz WiFi networks. If you have a dual-band router, ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz band during setup.
- Voice Assistant Functionality: The IR remote control acts as a bridge to control IR devices via voice commands through Alexa or Google Home. It does not add new functionalities (like playing music or answering questions) to Alexa or Google Home themselves. These remain functions of your smart speaker.
- IR Learning for Customization: Don't hesitate to use the 'Learn Match' (DIY) function if your specific appliance model isn't in the app's database or if you want to customize certain button actions. This feature is very flexible.
