9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Boot Failure (Monitor EDID Issue)

If the PC stays on the Intel logo without entering the OS, or there is no image displayed on the monitor after pressing the power button (power indicator turns blue, then red), it might be due to the monitor not being ready during startup, preventing the PC from reading the monitor's EDID.

Solution:

  1. Press the power button and continuously press Delete to enter the BIOS Setting menu.
  2. Navigate to Advanced > Customer Exclusive Functions > HDMI Delay.
  3. Change the delay time for reading EDID to 10 seconds.
  4. Press F4 to Save & Exit.

9.2 4K Video Performance Lagging

4K display performance can be affected by various factors including network speed, HDMI cable quality, monitor settings, and video decoding methods. While the Mini PC supports hardware decoding for smooth 4K local content playback, online 4K video streaming might experience lag.

Recommendation: If 4K video lags, especially with online content, consider lowering the video resolution to 1080p for smoother playback. For demanding 4K tasks, a dedicated graphics card might be required, which is not present in this integrated GPU Mini PC.

9.3 Storage Display Discrepancy (e.g., 128GB eMMC shows 114GB)

This is a common occurrence due to different matrixing methods used by computers and storage device manufacturers.

This difference results in the displayed capacity being slightly lower than the advertised capacity.

9.4 Power Supply Requirements

The Mini PC requires a stable 12V2A power supply. It must be connected with the original MeLE Type-C power supply. Do not attempt to power it with a power bank or other non-original Type-C power supplies, as this may lead to instability or damage.
