Grid lines can also be configured (8 groups, position, color, thickness adjustable) for precise measurements or alignment.
5. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your microscope:
- Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the microscope lens. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the IPS screen. For stubborn smudges, a screen cleaner designed for electronics can be used sparingly.
- General Cleaning: Keep the microscope body and stand free from dust and debris. Use a soft brush or cloth.
- Storage: When not in use, store the microscope in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Consider covering it with a dust cover.
- Avoid Liquids: Keep liquids away from the microscope to prevent damage to electronic components.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Microscope does not power on | Power cable not connected properly; AC adaptor faulty; Power outlet issue. | Ensure the power cable is securely connected. Check if the AC adaptor is working. Try a different power outlet. |
| Image is blurry or out of focus | Incorrect focus adjustment; Insufficient lighting; Specimen too far/close. | Adjust the focus knob carefully. Ensure adequate lighting from all three LED sources. Adjust the height of the microscope head to bring the specimen into the optimal working distance. |
| No image on external monitor/PC | HDMI/USB cable not connected; Incorrect input selected on external display; PC software issue. | Verify HDMI/USB cable connections. Select the correct input source on your TV/monitor. For PC, ensure the Camera App (Windows) or Photo Booth (Mac) is open and recognizing the microscope. |
| Cannot save images/videos | Micro SD card full or not inserted; Card faulty; Incorrect file format. | Ensure the 32GB Micro SD card is properly inserted and has free space. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data). Replace the card if it's faulty. |
| LED lights not working | Power issue; Light controls not adjusted. | Check power connection. Adjust brightness controls for all light sources (lens, side, bottom). |
