Linshang LS301

Linshang LS301 Solar Film Temperature Meter Instruction Manual

Model: LS301

1. Introduction

The Linshang LS301 Thermal Shielding Glass Solar Film Temperature Meter is a specialized instrument designed to measure real-time temperature values and inspect the insulation effect of various materials such as solar film, film glass, transparent glass, and thermal insulation coatings. It provides an intuitive and easy-to-operate method for comparing the thermal insulation properties of different materials.

2. Key Features

  • Simultaneous display of real-time temperature values and insulation rates for tested materials.
  • Equipped with two independent test boxes, each measuring 200mm x 160mm.
  • Features sophisticated imported temperature sensing probes, sensitive to subtle temperature changes.
  • Utilizes genuine 150W Philips infrared lamps for effective insulation testing.
  • Intuitive operation for comparing thermal insulation effects.

3. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the LS301 meter from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage.
  2. Placement: Place the meter on a stable, flat surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is sufficient space around the device for proper airflow.
  3. Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the 220V AC power supply.
  4. Initial Power On: Turn on the device. The display will show the environmental temperature and a 0.0% insulation rate for both sides when no sample is present.

4. Operating Instructions

The LS301 is designed for straightforward operation to demonstrate and measure thermal insulation properties.

4.1 Pre-Test Conditions

  • Before placing any test material, ensure that the temperature difference between the two test boxes does not exceed 2°C.
  • The black probes inside the test boxes are for testing insulation. The width of the slot for samples is 20mm.

4.2 Testing Procedure

  1. Prepare Samples: Obtain the materials you wish to test, such as laminated glass, white glass, or solar film. The maximum test glass size is 200mm x 160mm.
  2. Place Samples: Carefully insert one piece of laminated glass into one test box and a piece of white glass (or another comparison material) into the other test box.
  3. Observe Initial Readings: The instrument will immediately display the insulation rate for each glass sample. The temperature data will flash, indicating that the device is ready for measurement.
  4. Start Test: Press the "Test" button (labeled "复位/测试" on the device). The two infrared lights will turn on, and the temperature inside the boxes will begin to rise. The thermal insulation data will be locked on the display.
  5. Feel Temperature Difference (Optional): You can carefully feel the temperature difference between the two test boxes directly with your hands to experience the insulation effect.
  6. Test Duration: The entire test cycle lasts for 1 minute. After 1 minute, the two infrared lights will automatically turn off, and the cooling fans will switch on to cool down the test boxes.
  7. View Results: The instrument will lock the final data after the test is finished.
  8. Reset: Press the "Reset" button to unlock the data and prepare for a new test.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the instrument. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.
  • Handling: Handle the instrument with care to avoid dropping or impact, which could damage internal components.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected and the power outlet is functional. Check the power switch.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Verify that the test samples are properly seated in the test slots. Ensure the ambient temperature is stable and within the operating range.
  • Insulation Rate Not Displayed: Make sure the test samples are placed before pressing the "Test" button. If samples are inserted after the test starts, the insulation rate may not be calculated correctly.
  • Temperature Difference Exceeds 2°C Before Test: Allow the instrument to stabilize in the ambient environment for a longer period until the initial temperature readings are close.
