3. Components Overview

The KCM-ODM pump system includes the main pump unit, a driver board, and a controller with user interface buttons and an LED display.

The control interface consists of:

  • LED Digital Display: Shows the rotating speed.
  • Flow Speed Button (Black): Used to adjust the flow rate.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Tubing Connection

Connect the appropriate silicone or BPT tubing to the pump's threaded joints. Ensure a secure fit to prevent leaks.

4.2 Electrical Connections

The KCM-ODM pump comes with a KMD-M42S driver board and a 2802 controller. Refer to the wiring diagrams below for proper connection.

4.2.1 Stepper Motor Wiring

4.2.2 Controller to Driver Wiring

Note on Resistors:

  • R is the voltage limiting resistor in series.
  • When the interface voltage of the controller is 5V, it is unnecessary to need R; just directly connect.
  • When the interface voltage is 12V, connect a 1K resistor in series.
  • When the interface voltage is 24V, connect the 2.7K resistor in series.

4.3 Physical Installation

The pump can be installed using either the ODMA or ODMB method. ODMA includes a rubber shock absorber behind the pump, while ODMB does not. Ensure to specify your preferred installation method if ordering a custom configuration.

4.3.1 Wall Installation

For wall mounting, use the specified hole size as shown in the diagram below.

5. Operation

Once the pump is properly installed and connected to a power adapter, you can begin operation using the control buttons.

  1. Start/Stop: Press the Green button to start or stop the pump.
  2. Flow Direction: Press the Red button to change the direction of the liquid flow.
  3. Flow Speed Adjustment: Use the Black button (potentiometer) to adjust the flow rate. The LED digital display will show the current rotating speed.
