Front Panel Controls:

4.1 Connecting to a TV or Display

The HD-229 DVD player supports both AV (composite) and HD (HDMI) outputs. Choose the connection type that best suits your TV or display.

HDMI Connection (Recommended for best quality):

  1. Connect one end of the provided HD Cable (HDMI) to the 'HD Output' port on the rear of the DVD player.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an available HDMI input port on your TV or display.
  3. Select the corresponding HDMI input on your TV using its remote control.

AV Connection (Composite Video and Stereo Audio):

  1. Connect the yellow plug of the 3-in-1 AV Cable to the 'Video Output' port on the rear of the DVD player.
  2. Connect the white plug to the 'Left Channel Output (L)' port.
  3. Connect the red plug to the 'Right Channel Output (R)' port.
  4. Connect the other ends of the yellow, white, and red plugs to the corresponding 'Video In' and 'Audio In (L/R)' ports on your TV or display.
  5. Select the corresponding AV input on your TV using its remote control.

4.2 Power Connection

  1. Ensure the DVD player is switched off.
  2. Plug the power cord into the power input on the rear of the DVD player.
  3. Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC power outlet (110-240V, 50/60Hz).
  4. Press the 'Power' button on the front panel or remote control to turn on the player.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Disc Playback

  1. Turn on the DVD player and your TV, selecting the correct input source.
  2. Press the 'Open/Close' button on the front panel or remote control to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a compatible disc (DVD, SVCD, VCD, CD-R, CD-R/W, MP3 CD/VCD) gently into the disc tray with the label side facing up.
  4. Press the 'Open/Close' button again to close the tray.
  5. The player will automatically begin playback or display a disc menu. Use the remote control to navigate menus if necessary.
  6. Use the 'Play/Pause', 'Stop', 'Next/Previous Track', and 'Fast Forward/Rewind' buttons on the remote for control.

5.2 USB Media Playback

The built-in USB 2.0 port allows playback of video, music, and photo files from a USB flash drive.

  1. Insert your USB flash drive into the 'USB Port' on the front panel of the DVD player.
  2. The player should automatically detect the USB drive and display a menu for selecting media type (Video, Music, Photo). If not, use the 'Source' or 'USB' button on the remote (if available) to switch to USB mode.
  3. Navigate through your files using the remote control's arrow keys and 'Enter' button.
  4. Select the desired file to begin playback.
