    • Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote sensor and insert 2 AAA batteries (not included), observing polarity.

Note: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly.

  2. Set Sensor Channel:
    • Before inserting batteries into the remote sensor, locate the channel selector switch inside the battery compartment.
    • Set the selector to your desired transmission channel (1, 2, or 3). If using multiple sensors, set each to a different channel.
  3. Pairing the Units:
    • After installing batteries in both units and setting the sensor channel, place the display unit and the remote sensor close to each other (within a few feet).
    • The display unit will automatically search for the sensor signal. A red light on the sensor will flash when it transmits data.
    • Allow a few minutes for the units to synchronize and display accurate temperature and humidity data.
  4. Placement Options:
    • Display Unit: The main display unit can be placed on a tabletop using its integrated stand or mounted on a wall.
    • Remote Sensor: For optimal performance and longevity, consider the following guidelines for outdoor sensor placement:
      • Vertical Placement: Always place the sensor vertically.
      • Out of Direct Sunlight: Position the sensor in a shaded area to avoid inaccurate readings due to direct sun exposure.
      • Avoid Horizontal Placement: Do not place the sensor horizontally.
      • Avoid Ground Placement: Do not place the sensor directly on the ground.
      • Range: Ensure the sensor is within 200ft/60m of the display unit, especially in open areas. Walls and other obstructions can reduce the effective range.

    • Ensure the outdoor sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight or other heat sources that could skew readings.
  • Display is dim or blank:
    • Replace the batteries in the display unit.

9. User Tips

  • For the most accurate outdoor temperature, always place the remote sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area, protected from rain and direct sunlight.
  • While the outdoor sensor is designed for outdoor use, it is not explicitly stated as fully waterproof. Positioning it under an eave or in a sheltered spot is recommended to prolong its lifespan.
  • The device is generally accurate for household use. If you require highly precise measurements for scientific or industrial applications, specialized equipment may be necessary.
  • The main unit has an internal sensor for indoor temperature and humidity. The external sensor is required for outdoor readings.
