The camera offers flexible installation options, including integrated and separated ceiling-mounted installations. Choose the method that best suits your monitoring environment.

Installation Method Diagram

Diagram Description: This image illustrates two primary installation methods: Integrated Installation (camera mounted directly to a wall) and Separated Ceiling Mounted Installation (camera suspended from a ceiling or overhang via an extended bracket).

5.1. Wall Mounted Installation

  1. Fix the solar panel and the bracket together using the hexagonal wrench. Adjust the solar panel to face the maximum sunlight orientation according to your installation environment.
  2. Connect the solar panel charging port to the camera.
  3. Use screws to secure the iron wall bracket on the wall. Hang the camera from top to bottom, then lock the tamper-proof screws below.

5.2. Ceiling Mounted Installation

  1. Unscrew the fixing screw at point A (on the upper wall bracket) and pull out the upper wall bracket.
  2. Put the upper wall bracket upright, insert it along the rail, and fix the screws.

5.3. Commissioning Instructions

  • After adjusting the tilt angle of the wide-angle camera, tighten the thumbscrew to fix the lens position.
  • Manually adjust the up and down tilt angle of the wide-angle camera according to monitoring requirements.
  • Manually adjust the angle of the white light on both sides. The recommended angle is 15 degrees downward tilt.
  • Adjust the angle of the solar panel to achieve maximum sunlight. The recommended orientation is 25 degrees inclination.
  • The horizontal direction of the upper wide-angle camera bracket can be adjusted left and right. The positioning screw can be fixed after adjustment.

12.6. Power Management

Select the working mode (Normal, Adaptive, All Time) based on your environment and power needs to optimize battery usage.

  • Normal Mode: Most energy-efficient. Camera is in standby when not remotely monitored. Activates, records, and sends alerts upon human detection.
  • Adaptive Mode: Records 24/7 when battery is above 50%; switches to low-power standby mode below 45%.
  • All Time Mode: Camera works continuously. Requires a constant power supply.
  • Low Power Protection: When power is below 10%, the camera enters power-saving mode, forcing sleep and disabling alarms. Recommended to keep this function on.

12.7. Sound & Light Settings

Configure the working modes for infrared LEDs, white lights, and alarms.

  • IR Mode: Automatically turns on infrared night vision at night.
  • Color Mode: White lights are on at night for full-color video.
  • Night Alarm Mode: When human movement is detected at night, white lights flash and an alarm sounds.
  • All Day Alarm Mode: White lights flash and an alarm sounds upon human detection at any time.

13. Troubleshooting & Technical Analysis

  • Q: Will the camera show red lights when night vision is activated?
A: The built-in infrared LEDs will only show dim red lights when night vision is active, but the image quality remains clear.
  • Q: What is the longest recording time?
A: The camera has three working modes:
    • Low Power Consumption Mode (Default): Records for 15 seconds upon human detection. If the person remains in range, it continues recording. The 20000mAh battery supports 6000 wake-ups, with solar charging adding 250 wake-ups per hour. Theoretically, it can be used continuously.
    • Adaptive Mode: Records 24/7 when the battery is above 50%. Below 45%, it switches to low-power mode.
    • Full-Time Mode: Requires continuous power supply. Without it, the battery lasts about 36 hours.
  • Q: How to check video playback?
A: Click the video playback button on the homepage (pull-up control menu) and select either memory card playback or cloud storage playback.
  • Q: What happens when the memory card runs out of space?
A: The oldest footage will be overwritten by the newest. Regularly back up important videos or delete unnecessary ones. Consider a cloud plan for more storage.
  • Q: How many cameras can I connect to the same account?
A: You can add up to 50 cameras, but it's recommended to add no more than 10 for a better user experience.
  • Q: Why can't I receive push notifications on my mobile device?
A: Ensure you have granted the NiView App permission to send notifications on your mobile device.
  • Q: How many accounts can a camera be shared with?
A: A camera can be shared with up to 8 accounts.
  • Q: What should I do if the optical zoom lens is out of focus?
A: Go to the PTZ control interface, point the camera at the farthest reference object, click the zoom calibration button, and wait for 1 minute.
  • Q: What should I do if the PTZ lens tracking is inaccurate?
A: Click the linkage calibration button on the top right of the homepage. The upper and lower lenses will recalibrate their linkage coordinates.
  • Q: Why can't blue lights turn on during 4G connection attempts?
A: This could indicate an issue with the SIM card. Please check the SIM card's band frequency and ensure there is no PIN password enabled on the card. Contact customer support if the issue persists.

14. User Tips

  • Initial Setup: Upon receiving your camera, open the power button and charge the battery for approximately 10 hours to ensure a full charge before extensive use.
  • Power Options: The camera can operate without the solar panel using its built-in 20000mAh battery. The solar panel provides continuous charging, extending battery life significantly.
  • 4G Connectivity: If using the 4G version, ensure your SIM card's band frequency is compatible with the camera's specifications for your region. Also, verify that the SIM card does not have a PIN password enabled, as this can prevent connection.
  • Battery Life: In normal low-power consumption mode with solar charging, the battery can last theoretically indefinitely. Without solar, it can sustain about 6000 wake-ups. Frequent wake-ups or continuous recording will consume power faster. Regular charging (e.g., once a week) can extend the battery's lifespan.
  • Temperature Considerations: Battery performance may decrease in low temperatures. At -4°F (-20℃), the battery might drain quickly or not charge. It will resume normal operation as the temperature rises.
