5.3 App Download and Camera Pairing

Connectivity: The camera supports both WiFi and 4G connectivity. Note that the 4G version only supports 4G SIM card connection and cannot use WiFi. The WiFi version only supports 2.4GHz WiFi. Ensure your chosen model matches your connectivity needs.

8. Troubleshooting
- Camera not connecting to network (4G error 8000): Ensure your 4G SIM card is active and has no PIN password. Verify that the SIM card's band frequency is compatible with the camera. Contact customer support if issues persist.
- No notifications on mobile phone: Check app settings for notification permissions. Ensure the camera's motion detection and alarm settings are correctly configured in the Niview app.
- 4G vs. WiFi: Remember that 4G cameras only support 4G SIM card connections and cannot use WiFi. WiFi cameras only support 2.4GHz WiFi. Do not attempt to connect a 4G camera to WiFi or vice-versa.
- Power off, camera still works? Yes, if the camera is charged, it will continue to operate using its internal battery, especially the 4G version which does not rely on home WiFi.
- Continuous recording: The camera offers "All Time" recording mode, but it requires a continuous power supply. For solar-powered setups, "Normal" or "Adaptive" modes are recommended to conserve battery.
- NVR/DVR compatibility: The product description does not specify NVR/DVR compatibility. It is primarily designed for standalone operation with the Niview mobile app.
