4.2 Required Tools

Before starting, ensure you have the following tools:

  • Masking Tape
  • Pull Wire (Guitar String)
  • String Winder
  • Wrench
  • 12mm Drill Bit
  • 3.2mm Drill Bit
  • Screwdriver
  • Trimming Machine (Router)
  • Hand Drill
  • Table Mat
  • Cleaning Cloth
  • Opening Mold (Template)

4.3 Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Remove Guitar Strings: Carefully remove all strings from your guitar and set them aside.
  2. Position Main Unit Template: Identify a flat and suitable installation area on the side panel of your guitar. Place the provided installation template on this area.
  3. Secure Template: Use masking tape to firmly secure the template to the guitar body. Ensure it is stable to prevent any movement during drilling/cutting. For guitars with a more pronounced waist curve, you may need to slightly raise the template to allow the trimming machine to operate correctly.
  4. Cut Opening for Main Unit: Using a trimming machine (router), carefully cut the opening according to the template. Tilt the trimming machine at a 45-degree angle and slowly lower the blade into the center of the marked area. Follow the template's edge to trim the opening. Do not lower the blade vertically.

  5. Drill Endpin Hole: Remove the existing endpin strap button. Apply masking tape around the area to protect the guitar from scratches. Attach a 12mm drill bit to your hand drill. Hold the guitar firmly and align the drill with the center of the endpin. Drill slowly and carefully. Always prioritize safety.

  6. Drill Pickup Rod Hole: Remove the guitar saddle. Apply masking tape to the bridge area to prevent scratches. Switch to a 3.2mm drill bit. Drill vertically into the bridge slot, aligning with the direction of the 6th string. Pay attention to the drilling force and ensure safety.

  7. Install Endpin Output: Use the provided pull wire (or a guitar string) to thread through the newly drilled endpin hole from the inside of the guitar body. Pull the endpin output through the hole and secure it.
  8. Secure Endpin Jack: Install the round washer and tighten the nut using the wrench. Attach the top cover. Adjust the endpin opening until it is flush with the guitar's side panel. The ideal thickness should be approximately 2cm-2.5cm.
  9. Install Pickup Rod: Carefully insert the pickup rod into the drilled hole in the bridge slot.
  10. Install Saddle: Place the saddle back into the bridge. If necessary, adjust the saddle height by grinding 0.8mm-1.0mm to compensate for the pickup rod. Ensure the saddle is flat and do not over-grind. Test the height multiple times for optimal action.
  11. Install Vibrator: Reach through the soundhole and install the vibrator unit. It is typically installed in the middle section of the guitar's back panel. Refer to the installation video for precise positioning.
  12. Connect Wires to Main Unit: Connect the wires from the pickup rod, vibrator, and output to their corresponding signal input/output ports on the main unit.

  13. Install Main Unit: Carefully position the main unit into the prepared opening on the side panel. Cover the main unit's parameter panel. Install the copper nut and tighten it with the wrench. Attach the parameter knobs.
  14. Organize Wiring: Use the included 3M wire clips to secure all internal wiring within the guitar body. Attach the clips to the side panel as appropriate to prevent any vibration noise or loose wires.
  15. Install Strings and Tune: Reinstall the guitar strings. Tune your guitar using the built-in tuner or an external tuner.
