3. Setup and Installation

3.1 Main Unit Installation

1. Attach the K4 rearview mirror camera to your existing rearview mirror using the provided rubber straps. Ensure it is securely fastened and does not obstruct your view.
2. Connect the car charger to the K4 unit and plug it into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Route the cable neatly to avoid interference with driving controls.
3. Insert a compatible Micro SD/TF card (Class 10, up to 128GB recommended) into the designated slot on the K4 unit.

3.2 Rear Camera Installation

The rear camera provides a crucial view for reversing and additional recording. Follow the diagram below for proper installation:

1. Mount the Rear Camera: Install the rear camera at the back of your vehicle, typically above the license plate or on the rear window, ensuring a clear view.
2. Connect Rear Camera: Connect the rear camera to its cable.
3. Connect to Reverse Light: The red wire from the rear camera cable needs to be connected to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's reverse light. This enables the automatic display of parking lines when reversing.
4. Connect to Dash Cam: Connect the rear camera cable to the AV-IN interface on the K4 dash cam.

3.3 GPS Antenna Installation (Optional)

If you have the GPS antenna version, connect the GPS module to the K4 unit. Place the GPS antenna on your dashboard or another location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Basic Interface

The device will typically power on automatically when the vehicle starts and power off when the vehicle is turned off. The 11.26-inch IPS touch screen allows for intuitive control.

4.2 Screen Adjustment and View Switching

The K4 allows for flexible screen adjustments and view modes:

• Adjust Angle: Vertically slide your finger on the screen to adjust the viewing angle of the camera.
• Switch Footage: Slide your finger left and right on the screen to switch between front camera, rear camera, half screen (front + rear), or full screen views.

4.3 CarPlay & Android Auto

The K4 supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing seamless integration with your smartphone for navigation, music, calls, and messages.

1. Connect via Bluetooth/WiFi: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and WiFi are enabled. On the K4, navigate to the CarPlay/Android Auto section and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your device.
2. Functionality: Once connected, you can access phone functions like making calls, listening to music, sending/receiving messages, and using navigation apps directly from the K4 screen.
3. Note: Android Auto is only available with Android version 11 or above. Huawei phones may not support Android Auto.

4.5 GPS Navigation

4.6 GPS Tracking (with optional GPS antenna)

If you have the optional GPS antenna, the DVR will display and record your speed, coordinates, and driving track. This data can be reviewed in detail using a dedicated player.

4.10 Full Screen Reversing

The K4 provides a smart rear view angle switch for driving and parking. When reversing, the display automatically switches to a full-screen view from the rear camera, providing a clear backup image with parking assist lines.

• Loop Recording: New footage automatically overwrites older footage when the memory card reaches full capacity, ensuring continuous recording and efficient use of storage space.
