Setup and Installation
1. Mortise Selection
Before installation, ensure you have the correct mortise for your door. The K10 lock is compatible with various mortises including Single Latch, 5050, 85 Series, and 72 Series. If you are unsure, please measure your door's existing mortise dimensions and consult the diagram below.

2. Physical Installation
The K10 features a screw-sliding design and an adjustable connecting rod for easier installation, fitting most lock body sizes without the need for extra re-drilling. Follow the hole opening diagram provided in your package for precise drilling.

3. Battery Installation
The lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline batteries. Open the rear panel to access the battery compartment and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity.

4. Initializing the Lock
After battery installation, locate the initialization button on the rear panel (refer to Figure 6). Press and hold the button to reset the lock to factory settings and begin the setup process.
Operation
1. Unlocking Methods
The K10 Smart Lock offers five convenient ways to unlock your door:
- Fingerprint Unlock: Place your registered fingerprint on the sensor.
- Password Unlock: Enter your digital code on the keypad.
- IC Card Unlock: Tap your registered IC card on the designated area.
- APP BLE Unlock: Use the Tuya Smart APP via Bluetooth on your smartphone.
- Mechanical Key Unlock: Use the physical key as a backup.

2. Tuya Smart APP Features
The Tuya Smart APP provides comprehensive control and management for your lock:
- User Management: Clearly view, add, modify, and delete fingerprints, passwords, IC cards, and app users.
- Temporary Passwords: Generate time-limited, one-time, dynamic, or custom passwords for guests or service providers.
- Unlock Records: View a detailed log of all unlock events.
- Battery Power: Monitor the lock's battery level.
- Passage Mode: Set the lock to remain unlocked for a specified period.
- Remote Unlock: With an optional Tuya BLE Mesh Gateway (additional purchase required), you can remotely unlock your door from anywhere with an internet connection.
- Language Sync: The APP will automatically follow your phone's language settings.

3. Virtual Password Anti-Peeping
To enhance security, you can enter random numbers before and after your actual password. This feature prevents others from easily guessing your code by observing your input.

4. Anti-lock Switch
The lock includes an anti-lock switch on the rear panel for added security, preventing unauthorized entry from the outside.
5. Emergency Power Supply
In case of battery depletion, the lock can be temporarily powered via a USB charging port using a power bank.

Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: The lock will provide a low battery alert. Replace all 4 AAA batteries promptly when indicated to ensure continuous operation.
- Cleaning: Wipe the lock's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
- Fingerprint Sensor: Keep the fingerprint sensor clean and dry for optimal performance.
Troubleshooting
- Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are low, use the emergency USB power supply or replace the batteries.
- Fingerprint not recognized: Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Re-register your fingerprint if issues persist.
- Password not working: Double-check the entered code. Ensure the virtual password anti-peeping feature is used correctly.
- APP connectivity issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone. If using remote access, verify the Tuya BLE Mesh Gateway is powered on and connected to your network.
- Lock is stuck or not operating smoothly: Perform a factory reset using the initialization button (refer to Figure 6). If the problem persists, contact customer support.
User Tips
- Regularly check the battery status via the Tuya APP to avoid unexpected lockouts.
- Utilize the temporary password feature for visitors or temporary access, rather than sharing your main password.
- Keep your mechanical keys in a safe, accessible location outside your home as a backup.
- For enhanced remote functionality and stability, consider purchasing a Tuya BLE Mesh Gateway.
