Advanced Settings
To access advanced settings, power on the display. After the self-test is complete, press and hold the left button for 10 seconds to enter the background menu. You will then need to enter a password to access specific settings.
- Password 153: Perimeter, Pole Pairs, and Offset Settings
- Set the perimeter (unit in mm). Default is CC 1413 (for an 18-inch tire).
- After setting the perimeter, long-press the right button to enter pole pair number (PL 24-08, default 24 pole pairs) and offset.
- Password 256: Gear Selection
- Set high and low gear (E, S gear) or normal gear display.
- Use '-2' for high and low gear display.
- Use '-0' for normal gear display.
- Password 372: Clear ODO
- Clears the total mileage (ODO). This function is limited to 3 uses.
- Password 856: Voltage Range Selection
- Select the appropriate voltage range: 48V, 60V, 72V, or 96V. This synchronizes with the battery grid number.
- For lithium batteries, the State of Charge (SOC) is automatically detected. If switching from a lithium battery to another battery type, the display must be powered on again for the change to take effect.
- Password 879: Fixed Voltage Calibration
- Allows for fixed voltage calibration corresponding to the selected voltage setting (48V, 60V, 72V, 96V).
- Password 824: Self-Input Voltage Calibration
- Enables manual input for voltage calibration.
- Password 974: km/h / mph Switch Setting
- Toggles the speed unit between kilometers per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph).
- Password 928: D Gear Light, N Gear Light Off Setting
- Configures the behavior of the 'D' (Drive) gear light and 'N' (Neutral) gear light.
- Password 919: Overvoltage and Undervoltage Value Change
- Adjusts the threshold values for overvoltage and undervoltage warnings. The first value is for overvoltage, the second for undervoltage.
Troubleshooting
This section provides guidance on common issues and how to interpret warning indicators.
Indicator Light Meanings
- Brake Indicator (Exclamation Mark): If this light is on unexpectedly, check your mechanical and electronic braking systems for proper function.
- Controller Failure (ECU): If this light illuminates, it indicates a problem with your scooter's main controller. Consult your scooter's manual or a qualified technician.
- Motor Failure (M): This light suggests a Hall sensor fault or a missing motor phase. Inspect motor connections and components.
- Throttle Failure: If this light is on, there may be an issue with the throttle mechanism or the anti-overrunning protection system.
Compatibility Issues
As noted in the introduction, this display relies on specific ONE-LIN communication protocols. If your display is not functioning correctly after installation, and you are not using a Votol or Fardriver controller, it is highly likely a compatibility issue. Ensure your controller's communication protocol matches that of the display. Most controllers with different protocols will not match or plug in directly.
Voltage Display Issues
If the voltage display is inaccurate or not updating after a battery change (especially from lithium to another type), ensure you have powered off and restarted the display. If issues persist, use Password 856, 879, or 824 settings to re-calibrate the voltage.
