5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Real-time Tracking
To track the device in real-time, use the dedicated mobile application or web platform provided by the seller. Ensure the device has an active SIM card with a data plan and is powered on. The platform will display the current location and allow you to view its movement history.
5.2. SOS Function
In an emergency, the user can press and hold the SOS button on the device. This will send an emergency alert to pre-configured contact numbers and the tracking platform, providing the device's current location.

5.5. Other Alerts
The device can be configured to send alerts for:
- Vibration/Displacement: Notifies if the device is moved unexpectedly.
- Low Battery: Alerts when the battery level is critically low.
- Power Off: Notifies when the device is turned off.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Waterproof Care
The S106 tracker is rated IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can be submerged in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. However, it is not designed for prolonged underwater use or high-pressure water exposure. Ensure all covers, especially the SIM card slot, are securely closed to maintain its waterproof integrity. Avoid exposing the device to saltwater or harsh chemicals.
6.2. Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the device's surface or internal components.
6.3. Storage
Store the device in a cool, dry place within the specified storage temperature range (-40 to 85 Celsius) when not in use for extended periods. Avoid extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
7. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure the device is fully charged. Connect it to the charger and wait for a few minutes before attempting to power it on again.
- No signal or device offline: Check if the SIM card is correctly inserted and has an active data plan. Verify that the device is in an area with good 3G GSM network coverage.
- Inaccurate location data: For optimal GPS accuracy, ensure the device has a clear view of the sky. In indoor or dense urban environments, LBS or WiFi positioning will be used, which may be less precise.
- Battery drains quickly: Frequent real-time tracking updates consume more battery. Adjust the tracking frequency settings in the application to optimize battery life. Ensure the device is operating within a good network signal area, as poor signal can increase power consumption.
- SOS button not working: Ensure emergency contact numbers are correctly configured in the tracking application. Check if the device has network connectivity.
8. User Tips
- Optimize Battery Life: Adjust the reporting frequency of location updates in the app. Less frequent updates will extend battery life significantly.
- Active SIM Card: Always ensure the installed SIM card has sufficient credit and an active data plan for tracking and communication features to function correctly.
- Test SOS Function: Periodically test the SOS button in a non-emergency situation to ensure it is configured correctly and alerts are received by designated contacts.
- App Notifications: Enable push notifications for the tracking application on your smartphone to receive immediate alerts for geo-fence breaches, low battery, or SOS calls.
