3.3 Key Features
- Fast Heating & Recovery: The station heats up in two seconds and returns to temperature in one second.
- Automatic Sleep Function: When the handle is placed on its stand, the station enters a sleep state. It will immediately heat up when the handle is lifted.
- Temperature Compensation: The station automatically compensates the soldering iron tip's temperature during the soldering process to maintain the set temperature.
- Standby Temperature Presets: Four sets of standby temperatures are available (0, 150, 180, 200 °C), which can be adjusted as needed.
- Key Lock: A key lock function is available to prevent accidental temperature changes.
- Celsius and Fahrenheit Conversion: Easily switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
- Buzzer: The station includes a buzzer for audible alerts.
3.4 Selecting the Right Soldering Handle/Tip
The A9PRO is designed for precise temperature control. Choosing the correct tip is crucial for optimal performance:
- C115 Heating Core and Handle: Ideal for processing ultra-fine circuits under a microscope, such as repairing multi-layer circuit boards or complex flying leads. The cutter head handles small solder joints, and the pointed tip handles tiny solder joints.
- C210 Heating Core and Handle: Recommended for repairing mobile phones, car remote controls, precision small electrical appliances, and cables. Use cutter heads for small to medium solder joints (e.g., IC bases) and sharp tips for small flying wires and small solder joints.
- C245 Heating Core and Handle: Suitable for home appliance maintenance, mobile phone maintenance, and computer motherboards. This high-power (120W) option handles both large solder joints (with a knife head) and small solder joints (with a pointed tip). Note that due to the relatively larger size of the soldering iron tip, it may not be ideal for extremely tiny solder joints.
In summary: Choose C115 for professional use with tiny solder joints, C210 for professional use with tiny and small solder joints, and C245 for a balance of large and small solder joints.
