Installation Guide
Follow these steps to properly install your INNOVA bicycle inner tube:
- **Remove the Wheel:** Detach the wheel from your bicycle frame.
- **Deflate and Remove Tire:** If the old tube is still inside, completely deflate it. Use tire levers to carefully pry one bead of the tire off the rim.
- **Remove Old Inner Tube:** Pull out the old inner tube. Inspect the inside of the tire for any sharp objects (thorns, glass, etc.) that might have caused the puncture. Run your fingers carefully along the inside of the tire.
- **Inspect Rim:** Check the rim strip to ensure it is properly seated and covers all spoke holes. Ensure there are no sharp edges on the rim.
- **Partially Inflate New Tube:** Lightly inflate your new INNOVA inner tube until it just holds its shape. This prevents it from pinching during installation.
- **Insert Valve:** Insert the valve of the new inner tube through the valve hole in the rim. Secure it with the valve nut if applicable, but do not overtighten.
- **Position Inner Tube:** Carefully tuck the partially inflated inner tube inside the tire casing, working your way around the rim. Ensure the tube is not twisted.
- **Mount Tire Bead:** Starting from the valve, work the second bead of the tire back onto the rim. Use your thumbs to push the tire bead into the rim channel. For the last section, you may need to use tire levers, being careful not to pinch the inner tube.
- **Check for Pinches:** Before fully inflating, push the tire beads towards the center of the rim on both sides, all the way around the wheel. This helps ensure the inner tube is not pinched between the tire bead and the rim.
- **Inflate Tire:** Slowly inflate the tire to the recommended pressure (usually indicated on the tire sidewall). As you inflate, periodically check that the tire beads are evenly seated on the rim.
- **Reinstall Wheel:** Reattach the wheel to your bicycle frame.

Operation
Once installed and inflated to the correct pressure, your INNOVA inner tube is ready for use. The butyl rubber material provides good air retention and durability for your cycling activities. Always ensure your tire pressure is within the recommended range for optimal performance and safety.
Maintenance
- **Check Tire Pressure Regularly:** Maintain the recommended tire pressure before each ride. Under-inflation can lead to pinch flats and increased rolling resistance, while over-inflation can make the ride harsh and potentially dangerous.
- **Inspect Tires:** Periodically inspect your outer tires for cuts, cracks, or embedded debris. Remove any sharp objects to prevent future punctures to the inner tube.
- **Valve Care:** Ensure the valve cap is always in place to protect the valve stem from dirt and moisture. For Presta valves, ensure the valve core is tightened securely.
- **Storage:** If storing a spare inner tube, keep it in its original packaging or a protective bag away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and sharp objects.
Troubleshooting
- Problem: Frequent Punctures
- Thoroughly inspect the inside of the tire for embedded sharp objects.
- Check the rim strip for proper coverage and any sharp edges on the rim.
- Ensure tire pressure is maintained at the recommended level to prevent pinch flats.
- Problem: Air Leaks from Valve
- For Presta valves, ensure the valve core is tightened.
- Check if the valve stem is properly seated in the rim hole and not at an angle.
- If the valve itself is damaged, the inner tube may need replacement.
- Problem: Tire Blows Off Rim During Inflation
- Ensure both tire beads are fully and evenly seated within the rim channel before inflating.
- Do not exceed the maximum recommended tire pressure.
User Tips
Based on general user experience for bicycle inner tubes:
- Always carry a spare inner tube, tire levers, and a pump when riding.
- When installing, a small amount of talcum powder on the inner tube can help it seat smoothly inside the tire.
- For Presta valves, remember to unscrew the valve core before inflating and tighten it afterwards.
