1. Introduction

The Sprolink FM13PRO is a multifunctional broadcasting switcher featuring an integrated flight case design. It includes a built-in hardware streaming engine and Wi-Fi module, enabling support for various streaming software for wireless streaming. This device is designed to deliver high-quality, professional multi-camera productions and facilitate multi-platform live streaming.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the FM13PRO from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Ensure all components are present according to the packing list.

3.2 Power Connection

Connect the provided 12V/2A power adapter to the DC-12V input port on the rear of the unit. Plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.

3.3 Video Input Connections

The FM13PRO features 4 HDMI 1.3 inputs. Connect your cameras or other video sources to the HDMI IN 1, HDMI IN 2, HDMI IN 3, and HDMI IN 4 ports using HDMI cables.

3.4 Video Output Connections

• HDMI Output: Connect external monitors or projectors to the 2 HDMI 1.3 output ports (PGM OUT 1, PGM OUT 2).

3.5 Audio Connections

• Microphone Input: Connect microphones to the 2x 3.5mm Stereo Jack MIC IN ports.
• Line Output: Connect to external audio systems via the 1x 3.5mm Stereo Jack LINE OUT port.
• Headphone Monitoring: Connect headphones to the 1x 3.5mm Stereo Jack PHONES port for real-time audio monitoring.

3.6 Network and Wireless Setup

• Ethernet: Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN (RJ45) port for wired network streaming and PTZ camera control.
• Wi-Fi: The built-in Wi-Fi module allows for wireless streaming. Refer to the on-screen menu or web interface for Wi-Fi configuration.

3.7 Tally System

The FM13PRO includes a built-in Tally wireless transmission module. Connect compatible Tally lights to the TALLY ports to synchronize with the switcher for enhanced live production cues.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off.
• Interface Navigation: Use the integrated display and control panel to navigate menus and settings.

4.2 Multi-Camera Switching

Utilize the PGM (Program) and PVW (Preview) buttons on the control panel to switch between your 4 HDMI input sources. The PGM output shows the live feed, while PVW allows you to prepare the next shot.

4.3 Live Streaming

The FM13PRO supports dual-channel streaming via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Access the built-in web server to input RTMP codes and configure streaming settings for platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. Ensure a stable internet connection for smooth, high-quality broadcasts.

4.4 Recording

Connect a USB disk or HDD to the USB port to record your live productions directly. The FM13PRO supports long-term storage and recording, reducing post-production workload.

4.5 Audio Mixing

The built-in audio mixer allows for real-time mixing of embedded HDMI audio and external audio sources connected via the MIC IN ports. Adjust audio levels and monitor output through the PHONES jack.

4.6 Transition Effects

Select from various customized transition effects such as FADE, WIPE, DIP, and DVE to add professional flair to your live switching.

4.7 Chroma Key

Utilize the Virtual Image Chroma Key Algorithm for precise green screen effects. Use the color picker to sample the background color and automatically generate keying parameters for professional broadcasts and live presentations.

4.8 PTZ Camera Control

Control up to 4 PTZ cameras through a router using the integrated joystick. This allows for seamless multi-camera switching and positioning.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Environmental Conditions: Operate the FM13PRO within the specified temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and humidity of 10% to 85%. Avoid extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and high humidity.

• No Video Output: Check HDMI cable connections from the FM13PRO to external monitors. Ensure monitors are powered on and set to the correct input source.
• No Audio: Verify microphone connections and settings in the audio mixer. Check headphone connection and volume levels.
