4. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to connect and set up your OLED display:
- Connect the FPC Cable: Carefully connect the FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit) cable between the OLED screen and the drive board. Ensure it is securely seated in both 40-pin MIPI connectors.
- Connect the Drive Board: Connect the drive board to the adapter board using the provided FPC cable (if applicable for Option B).
- Connect HDMI-Compatible Cable: Connect one end of an HDMI-compatible cable (version 2.0 or higher recommended) to the Mini HDMI-Compatible port on the controller board. Connect the other end to your host device (e.g., Raspberry Pi, PC, game console).
- Connect USB-C Power/Data Cable: Connect a USB-C cable to the Type-C (5V 2A) port on the controller board.
- Power for Touch Functionality: For the touchscreen function to be active, the USB-C cable MUST be connected to a data-enabled USB port on your host device (e.g., a PC running Windows). Do NOT connect the USB-C cable to a power-only socket or charger, as this will prevent touch functionality.

5. Operation
5.1. Initial Display Orientation
By default, when connected, the display may operate in portrait mode (vertical). You can adjust the display orientation to landscape mode (horizontal) through your computer's display settings.

5.2. Touch Functionality
The display features a 10-point in-cell capacitive touch screen, offering stable, precise, and sensitive interaction. Ensure the USB-C cable is connected to a data-enabled port on your host device for touch functionality.

5.3. Product Demonstration Video
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a screen-cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture.
- Handling: Handle the display and controller board with care. Avoid applying excessive pressure to the screen or bending the FPC cables sharply.
- Storage: Store the display in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Power Off: Disconnect power when not in use for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Display / Black Screen:
- Ensure all cables (HDMI-compatible, FPC) are securely connected.
- Verify the host device is powered on and outputting a video signal.
- Check if your host device's integrated graphics card supports the display. Sometimes, a discrete graphics card is required for optimal compatibility.
- Try connecting the display to a different HDMI-compatible port or host device to rule out port/device issues.
- Touchscreen Not Responding:
- Confirm that the USB-C cable is connected to a data-enabled USB port on your host device (e.g., a PC running Windows), not just a power adapter. The USB-C connection provides both power and touch data.
- Ensure the operating system on your host device recognizes the touch input. You may need to install specific drivers for some operating systems or devices (e.g., Raspberry Pi).
- Incorrect Display Orientation:
- The display may default to portrait mode. Adjust the orientation through your host device's display settings (e.g., Windows Display Settings, Raspberry Pi config).
- Flickering or Distorted Image:
- Check the HDMI-compatible cable for damage or loose connections.
- Ensure the power supply (via USB-C) is stable and sufficient (5V 2A).
- Reduce the cable length if using a very long HDMI-compatible cable.
8. User Tips
- OLED Benefits: This display features an OLED screen, which provides superior contrast, true blacks, and vibrant colors compared to traditional LCDs. Enjoy the enhanced visual experience.
- Customization: The modular design with a separate controller board allows for flexibility in integration into various projects. Consider the compact nature of the in-cell touch for space-saving applications.
- Power Source: Always ensure a stable 5V 2A power source for the controller board via the USB-C port to guarantee optimal performance and touch functionality.
