5. Installation

The YiToo Access Control Keypad is designed for easy installation. Please ensure you have a DC12V power supply, an electric lock, and a door exit button (not included) for a complete access control system.

5.1 Physical Installation

  1. Carefully open the keypad casing to access the mounting holes and wiring terminals.
  2. Mount the keypad securely to your desired outdoor or indoor location using the provided screws and wall plugs.
  3. Route the connection wires through the designated opening in the back of the keypad.

5.2 Wiring Diagram

Connect the keypad to your power supply, electric lock, exit button, and optional doorbell according to the diagram below. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly polarized to prevent damage.

6. Initial Setup and Programming

The keypad supports easy programming directly on the device. The default public unlocking password is 7890.

6.2 Adding/Deleting Users (Cards & Passwords)

Detailed steps for adding and deleting RFID cards and user passwords can be found in the included user manual. The keypad allows setting a management card for simplified user management.

7. Operation

The keypad offers various methods for unlocking the door:

  • Password Unlocking: Enter your programmed password followed by '#' to unlock.
  • RFID Card Unlocking: Present your registered RFID card to the card reading area to unlock.
  • RFID Card + Password Unlocking: Present your registered RFID card, then enter your password followed by '#' to unlock.
  • Remote Control Unlocking: If integrated with a compatible remote control system, press the unlock button on the remote.
  • Door Exit Button Unlocking: Press the internal exit button to open the door from the inside.
  • Doorbell Function: Visitors can press the doorbell button on the keypad to activate a connected wired doorbell.

8. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the keypad surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or touch screen.
  • Environmental Protection: Despite its IP68 rating, avoid prolonged submersion or direct high-pressure water jets to maximize product lifespan.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically check wiring connections for any signs of wear or corrosion, especially in outdoor installations.

9. Troubleshooting

Keypad is unresponsive:
Check the power supply connection. Ensure the DC12V power supply is functioning correctly and providing adequate power.
Door does not unlock:
Verify that the correct password or registered RFID card is being used. Check the wiring to the electric lock and ensure it is receiving the unlock signal. Ensure the door opening time is set appropriately.
RFID card not recognized:
Ensure the card is a 125KHz ID EM compatible card and has been properly programmed. Present the card directly to the card reading area on the keypad.
Doorbell not ringing:
Check the wiring connection between the keypad's doorbell interface and your wired doorbell. Ensure the doorbell itself is functional.
Backlight not working:
Check if the backlight feature has been intentionally turned off in the settings. Refer to the programming instructions to adjust backlight settings.

10. User Tips

  • For optimal security, regularly change user passwords and ensure RFID cards are kept secure.
  • When installing outdoors, consider placing the keypad under a slight overhang to further protect it from extreme weather, even with its IP68 rating.
  • Test all unlocking methods after initial setup and after adding/removing any users to ensure proper functionality.
