5. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your eWelink Smart TH16 Switch, keep the device clean and free from dust. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity outside of its specified operating conditions. Regularly check wiring connections for security. If the device is not in use for an extended period, consider disconnecting it from power.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1. Solutions for Product Matching Failure and Offline Issues

  1. From the eWelink App homepage, click the profile icon (usually in the lower right corner).
  2. Navigate to "Message" > "Guide" or "Profile" > "Ewelink support" for detailed troubleshooting articles.
  3. If the issue persists, try using another phone or a personal hotspot to re-add the device. This can help rule out local network or phone-specific problems.

6.2. Common Issues & Solutions

  • Device not connecting to Wi-Fi: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz, you have entered the correct password, and your router is not blocking new devices (MAC-open). Try moving the device closer to the router.
  • Inaccurate Temperature Readings: Ensure the DS18B20 sensor is properly connected and immersed in the environment you wish to monitor. Avoid placing the sensor near heat sources that could skew readings.
  • Voice Control Not Working: Verify that your eWelink account is correctly linked to your Alexa or Google Home app. Check that the device name in eWelink is recognized by your voice assistant.

7. User Tips

  • Humidity Monitoring: Please note that the included DS18B20 sensor only detects temperature. If you require humidity monitoring, you will need to acquire a separate humidity sensor. The TH-16 switch does not currently support humidity sensors.
  • Power Capacity: The switch supports a maximum current of 16A and a total power of 3000W. This is generally sufficient for most household appliances, including electric boilers (up to 3000W) and pumps (e.g., 1HP motor is approx. 746W). Always ensure the connected appliance's power consumption does not exceed the switch's limits, especially considering starting currents for motors.
  • Brand and App: While the product brand is mumubiz, it is designed to work seamlessly with the eWelink app, providing a familiar smart home experience.
  • Standalone Operation: The device requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection and the eWelink app for full functionality. It cannot operate entirely without a network connection or the associated application.
  • Extension Cable: If the included sensor cable length is insufficient, extension cables are available for purchase.
