1. Verifying Compatibility
This Fitcamx Dash Cam is designed for the Volvo XC60 1st Gen Facelift models from 2014 to 2017. To ensure correct product selection, please follow these steps:
- Provide your car's model and year.
- Refer to the provided images to identify your rearview mirror cover type (Model A or Model B).
- If unsure, contact the seller with a photo of your rearview mirror cover for confirmation.

2. Setup and Installation
The Fitcamx Dash Cam features a plug-and-play design for easy installation without damaging your vehicle's original wiring. Power is typically drawn from the rain sensor. If alternative power sources like a fuse box cable or OBD cable are required, please contact the seller.
2.1 Installation Steps
Refer to the visual guide and video below for detailed installation instructions:

2.2 Power Connection
The dash cam typically draws power from the rain sensor for a clean, integrated installation. Other options like fuse box or OBD power are available if needed.

2.3 Memory Card Insertion
Insert the provided memory card into the designated slot on the dash cam before final installation. Ensure it is a Class 10 specification card for optimal performance.
2.4 Rear Camera Installation (for Dual Cam versions)
For dual camera versions, the 1080P 360° rotation rear camera can be mounted on the rear windshield or facing the cabin. The rear cam kit includes the rear camera and a rear cam cable.

3. Operating Instructions
The Fitcamx Dash Cam operates automatically once installed and powered. Use the dedicated mobile application for advanced features and video management.
3.1 Automatic Operation
The dash cam automatically turns on when the car is started and turns off when the car is switched off. No manual intervention is required for daily recording.
3.2 Mobile App Functionality
Connect your smartphone to the dash cam via Wi-Fi to access features like live view, video download, editing, and sharing.

3.3 Key Features
- 4K UHD High Resolution: Records clear videos up to 2160P resolution with an advanced Novatek chip and f/1.6 aperture lens.
- Superior Night Vision: Equipped with wide dynamic range technology to capture vivid details even at night, including license plates and road signs.
- Loop Recording & G-Sensor: Seamless loop recording overwrites old footage when the memory card is full. The G-Sensor detects sudden collisions and locks relevant footage to prevent overwriting.

4. Maintenance
- Memory Card Management: Regularly format the memory card through the app settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent issues.
- Regular Checks: Periodically check that the camera is working properly, especially after car repairs, maintenance, or battery replacement.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Fitcamx app or website for any available firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
5. Troubleshooting
Problem 1: Apple iPhone connection failed
Solution:
- Turn off Cellular Data in your phone settings, then connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi.
- If connected to CarPlay, turn off Bluetooth before connecting to the camera's Wi-Fi.
- Ensure album and network permissions are granted for the Fitcamx App.
Problem 2: Android phone connection failure
Solution:
- After connecting to the camera's Wi-Fi, if prompted that you can't access the Internet, click "Keep WLAN Connection".
- Close Mobile Data first, then connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi.
Problem 3: App cannot save settings (default settings are restored after reboot)
Solution: After setting the App, press and hold the power button of the camera to turn it off, then briefly press the power button to turn it back on.
Problem 4: App video file is empty, no video is loaded.
Solution:
- Open the App settings to format the memory card, then record video.
- If the App album still has no video, insert the memory card into a computer to check for damage or incompatibility. Replace the memory card if necessary.
- It is recommended to use Class10 specification SanDisk/KIOXIA/Samsung memory cards of 32GB or 64GB capacity (maximum supported is 256GB).
Problem 5: Why doesn't my computer play the videos? Or why is the playback video not smooth?
Solution:
- We recommend using PotPlayer and KMplayer for playback.
- If your computer's specifications are too low, especially for 4K resolution videos, playback may not be smooth.
Problem 6: Why can't you connect 2 phones at the same time?
Solution: Wi-Fi only supports connecting one phone at a time. To connect another phone, disconnect the first phone's Wi-Fi connection.
Problem 7: Why is the timestamp of the video wrong, or there is no recorded video during some time periods, or there is video when the phone is connected, but no video when the phone is not connected?
Solution: Check if the timestamp error is due to a complete power failure of the camera. After car repair, maintenance, or battery replacement, reconnect the camera's Wi-Fi with your phone to synchronize the camera's time. Regularly verify the camera's proper operation.
Problem 8: What should I do if I forget the Wi-Fi name or password?
Solution: Press and hold the camera key for 20 seconds, or use a paperclip to press the reset button to restore factory settings.
Problem 9: Do I need to connect the camera Wi-Fi and open the App every time I drive?
Solution: No, the camera automatically turns on when the car is on and turns off when the car is off. No daily manual connection is required.
Problem 10: What should I do if I can't find the Wi-Fi?
Solution:
- First, remove the memory card and then search for Wi-Fi. Memory card failure can cause the camera to have no Wi-Fi.
- Press and hold the camera button for 20 seconds, or use a paper clip to press the reset button to restore factory settings.
- Check if the camera's light is always on. If there is no light, it indicates no power supply, and thus no Wi-Fi.
