  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the KT3100 thermostat and sensor probe from its packaging.
  2. Plug In: Insert the thermostat's plug into a standard EU electrical wall socket.
  3. Position Sensor: Place the 3-meter sensor probe in the area where you wish to measure and control the temperature. Ensure it is not obstructed or exposed to direct heat/cold sources that do not represent the desired measurement area.
  4. Connect Appliance: Plug your heating or cooling appliance (e.g., heater, fan, heat mat) into the socket on the front of the KT3100 thermostat.
  5. Power On: The LCD display should light up, showing the current measured temperature and default settings.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Temperature Control Mode

This mode allows you to set a desired temperature range for heating or cooling.

  1. Press the MODE button until the display shows the temperature control interface (Measured Temperature, Start Temperature, Stop Temperature).
  2. Press the SET button once. The 'Start Temperature' value will begin to flash.
  3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the desired Start Temperature.
  4. Press SET again. The 'Stop Temperature' value will flash.
  5. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the desired Stop Temperature.
  6. Press SET again to confirm and exit the setting mode.

Heating Mode: Set the Start Temperature lower than the Stop Temperature. The device will activate the output when the measured temperature drops below the Start Temperature and deactivate when it reaches the Stop Temperature.

Refrigeration Mode: Set the Start Temperature higher than the Stop Temperature. The device will activate the output when the measured temperature rises above the Start Temperature and deactivate when it drops to the Stop Temperature.

6.2. Timing Modes (F01-F04)

The KT3100 offers four different timing functions for automated control.

LCD display showing various timing modes F01, F02, F03, F04

Figure 4: LCD Display showing different timing modes.

  1. Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through the timing modes (F01, F02, F03, F04).
  2. Once in the desired timing mode, press SET to enter the setting mode.
  3. Use UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the ON/OFF times (hours and minutes).
  4. Press SET to confirm each value and move to the next, then again to exit the setting mode.

F01: Cycling Timing Mode

  • Sets a repeating cycle of ON time and OFF time.
  • Example: Set ON for 1 hour, OFF for 30 minutes. The device will cycle between these states indefinitely.

F02: Countdown ON Mode

  • The output is currently OFF. After a set delay (start time), the output will turn ON.
  • Example: Set ON for 2 hours. The device will wait 2 hours, then turn ON the output.

F03: Countdown OFF Mode

  • The output is currently ON. After a set delay (stop time), the output will turn OFF.
  • Example: Set OFF for 3 hours. The device will turn OFF the output after 3 hours.

F04: Countdown ON, Countdown OFF Mode

  • The output is currently OFF. After a set delay (start time), the output will turn ON. Then, after another set delay (stop time), the output will turn OFF.
  • Example: Set ON for 1 hour, OFF for 2 hours. The device will wait 1 hour, turn ON, then after 2 hours, turn OFF.

6.3. Temperature Correction Function

This function allows you to calibrate the measured temperature if there is a discrepancy with a known accurate thermometer.

  1. With the device powered on, long press the MODE button for 2 seconds. The 'CALIBRATION' indicator will appear, and the temperature value will flash.
  2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the temperature correction value (range: -9.9°C to 9.9°C).
  3. To save the modification, long press the MODE button again.
  4. To exit without saving, long press the SET button for 5 seconds.

6.4. Screen Lock Protection

The device has a screen lock feature. To restore the screen or factory settings, press the small RESET button (usually a pinhole) for one second.
