3. Controls and Components

4. Setup

4.1 Power Supply

The Cmik Mk-132 can be powered by either AC mains electricity or DC batteries.

  • AC Power: Connect the AC power cord to the AC input jack on the unit and then plug it into a 220V/50Hz wall outlet.
  • DC Power (Batteries): Open the battery compartment cover on the back or bottom of the unit. Insert four (4) UM-1 (D-size) batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment cover securely.

4.2 Antenna

For optimal radio reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully when listening to FM or SW bands. For AM, the unit uses a built-in ferrite bar antenna, so antenna position may not significantly affect reception.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Radio Operation

  1. Turn on the unit using the power switch (often integrated with the volume knob).
  2. Press the Band Key to select your desired radio band: FM, AM, or SW.
  3. Rotate the Tuning Button to search for radio stations.
  4. Adjust the Volume Knob to your preferred listening level.
  5. Use the Bass Knob and Treble Knob to fine-tune the sound.
  6. For FM/SW, extend the telescopic antenna for better signal reception.

5.2 Cassette Player/Recorder Operation

  1. Press the Function Key to select 'Tape' mode.
  2. Press the 'Eject' button (usually near the cassette compartment) to open the cassette door.
  3. Insert a cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards. Close the cassette door.
  4. Press the Play (►) button to start playback.
  5. Use Rewind (◀◀) and Fast Forward (►►) buttons to navigate the tape.
  6. Press the Stop (■) button to stop playback.
  7. To record, ensure the unit is in 'Tape' mode and press the Record (●) button simultaneously with the Play (►) button. You can record from the radio or via the MIC input.

5.3 USB/TF Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB Port or a TF (MicroSD) card into the TF Card Slot.
  2. Press the Function Key to select 'USB/TF' mode. The unit should automatically begin playing audio files.
  3. Use the playback control buttons (e.g., Play/Pause, Next/Previous Track) if available, or control via the main unit's function keys.

5.4 Bluetooth Operation

  1. Press the Function Key to select 'Bluetooth' mode. The unit will indicate it's ready for pairing (e.g., a blinking LED or an audible prompt).
  2. On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select 'Cmik Mk-132' (or similar name) from the list to pair.
  4. Once paired, you can stream audio from your device to the radio. Control playback (play, pause, skip) from your connected device.

5.5 Headphone Use

To listen privately, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones into the Headphone Jack. The internal speakers will automatically mute.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace all batteries simultaneously when they are depleted. Do not mix old and new batteries. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
