1. Product Overview

The HAYEAR HY-500B is a high-quality 5MP USB microscope camera designed for industrial applications such as phone repair and PCB soldering. It features high resolution, clear imaging, and comes with a 150X C-Mount lens and a stable table stand with LED lighting.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup Instructions

  1. 3.1 Assemble the Stand and Camera

    Attach the 5.0MP Microscope Camera to the provided table stand. Ensure the C-mount lens is securely screwed onto the camera body. The stand features a 21cm high pillar and a 35mm diameter ring for mounting the camera.

  2. 3.2 Connect to Computer

    Connect the microscope camera to your computer using the provided USB cable. The camera supports USB2.0 for image output at 480Mb/s. It is driver-free (UVC compliant) for most modern operating systems.

  3. 3.3 Software Installation

    Insert the included Software DISC into your computer's optical drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the measurement software. The software supports DirectShow, TWAIN, and SDK interfaces.

  4. 3.4 Power On and Initial Check

    Connect the power adapter to the stand's LED lights and plug it into a power outlet. Turn on the LED lights. Launch the installed software on your computer. The live image from the microscope camera should appear on your screen.

  1. 4.1 Placing the Specimen

    Place the object you wish to examine (e.g., PCB, phone component) directly under the microscope lens on the stand's base.

The 150X C-mount lens offers a working distance of 50mm-350mm and a field of view of 3.1mm-66mm, with zoom ratios of 5:1 and magnification power from 0.11X to 2X.

  3. 4.3 Adjusting Lighting

  4. 4.4 Software Features

    The measurement software provides various functions for image analysis:

    • Capture & Resolution: Select desired resolution (up to 2592x1944) and capture still images or record video.
    • Exposure & Gain: Adjust brightness and gain settings manually or use auto exposure control.
    • Color Adjustment: Fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, sharpness, and gamma. One-click white balance is supported.
    • Measurement Tools: Perform precise measurements directly on the live image or captured images.
