3. Installation and Wiring

Proper installation is crucial for the optimal performance of your 360-degree surround view system. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.

3.1 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for connecting the main control unit to the cameras and vehicle power/signal sources.

  • Signal Receiver (Main Unit): This is the central processing unit.
  • Cameras: Connect the Front, Rear, Left, and Right cameras to their respective ports on the signal receiver.
  • Power Connection:
    • Connect 'Acc 12V' to an accessory power source that turns on with the ignition.
    • Connect 'Ground' to a reliable chassis ground point.
  • Signal Connections:
    • Connect 'Reversing light positive' to the positive wire of your vehicle's reversing light.
    • Connect 'Turn signal positive' (Left/Right) to the positive wires of your vehicle's left and right turn signals.
  • Video Output: Connect the appropriate video output (USB, AHD, or CVBS) to your car's display unit.

3.2 Camera Placement

Ensure cameras are mounted securely and provide an unobstructed view. Use the provided hole saw for precise installation if necessary.

4. Operating Instructions

The Smartour 360 Degree Surround View System is designed for intuitive operation, primarily through automatic triggers and the wireless rotating knob.

4.1 Automatic View Switching

The system automatically switches views based on vehicle signals:

  • Reversing: When the car is put into reverse gear, the screen automatically switches to the rear view, often combined with a bird's-eye view.
  • Turning: Activating the left or right turn signal will automatically switch the display to the corresponding side view.
  • After Trigger: After reversing or turning, the system will typically revert to the front view or a panoramic view after a set delay.

4.2 Wireless Rotating Knob Control

The wireless knob provides manual control over the system's display modes and settings.

  • Short Press:
    • If 360 panorama is OFF: Turns ON the 360 panorama view.
    • If 360 panorama is ON: Acts as an "OK" button for menu selections.
  • Left Rotation: When 360 panorama is ON, switches to the next related view on the left.
  • Right Rotation: When 360 panorama is ON, switches to the next related view on the right.
  • Long Press (1 second): When 360 panorama is ON, returns to the previous menu. In 2D view mode, a long press turns OFF the 360 panorama.

Knob Sleep Mode: To save power, the knob enters sleep mode after a period of inactivity. Briefly press "OK" or rotate the knob left/right to wake it up.

4.3 Menu Interface

Access the main menu to configure various system settings. The unified password for accessing settings is 666888.

Note: By default, only one car model is available. Contact the dealer for custom car models if needed.

4.4 Driving Record

The system supports 4-way video recording and playback in MP4 format. It features circular recording, automatically overwriting old files when the storage is full. Important videos can be locked to prevent accidental deletion.

5. Control Settings (Advanced)

The 'Control Set' menu allows for detailed configuration of the system's behavior. Access this menu via the main interface using the password 666888.

5.1 Boot Mode

  • Automatic start: The 360 system starts automatically after each ignition.
  • Background start: The 360 system does not start automatically after ignition. It activates when the user engages reverse gear, turn signals, or presses the P key.

5.2 Emergency Light Control

  • Simultaneous display of left and right: When emergency lights are on, both left and right camera views are displayed.
  • Streaming media: When emergency lights are on, the screen displays views before and after the streaming media.
  • Off: When emergency lights are on, the 360 display will not switch.

5.3 Turn Signal Control

  • Turn on: Turn signal activation triggers the 360 panorama.
  • Off: Turn signal activation does not trigger the 360 panorama.

5.4 Vehicle Speed Control

Automatically turns off the 360 panorama when the vehicle speed exceeds a selected threshold.

5.5 Square Control

Enables/disables the original car button function.

5.6 P Key Control

Enables/disables the P key function.

5.7 Front and Rear View

  • Original View: Displays the original view before and after.
  • Correction View: Displays the front and rear correction view.

5.8 Turn Signal Display

  • Corrected rear view: When left and right turn signals are on, the corrected rear view for both sides is displayed.
  • 3D view: When left and right turn signals are on, the left and right 3D views are displayed.
  • Original view: When left and right turn signals are on, the left and right original views are displayed.

5.9 Self-test Delay

After booting, the system automatically exits 360 view if the set delay time is exceeded.

5.10 Foresight Delay

After exiting reverse gear and returning to a forward gear, the system automatically exits 360 view after the set delay time.

5.11 Steering Delay

After steering input ceases, the system automatically exits 360 view if the set delay time is exceeded.

5.12 Display Delay

After double flash (hazard lights) are turned off, the system automatically exits 360 view if the set delay time is exceeded.

5.13 Phase Selection

Select the appropriate output video signal phase.

6. Maintenance

  • Camera Lenses: Regularly clean camera lenses with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear visibility. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
  • Software Updates: Check the manufacturer's website or contact support for any available firmware updates.
  • Avoid Arbitrary Changes: As the system is factory-calibrated, avoid making arbitrary changes to settings unless you fully understand their function or are instructed by support.
