Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect your RF Switch HVC-003:

  1. Connect to Famicom: Locate the RF OUT port on your Nintendo Famicom console. Plug the 3.5mm jack cable (attached to the RF Switch) into this port.
  2. Connect to TV Antenna Input:
    • If you have an external antenna (e.g., rabbit ears, roof antenna), connect its coaxial cable to the two screw terminals on the RF Switch labeled 'ANTENNA' (アンテナ).
    • If your TV has a coaxial input, connect the bare-wire antenna cable from the RF Switch to your TV's antenna input (usually labeled 'ANT IN' or 'RF IN'). Ensure a secure connection.
  3. Connect to TV: Connect the coaxial cable from the RF Switch's 'TV' (テレビ) output terminal to your television's antenna input.
  4. Power On: Ensure your Famicom console and television are powered on.
  5. Select TV Channel: Tune your television to the appropriate channel (typically Channel 1 or 2, depending on your Famicom's RF output setting).

Operating Instructions

Using the RF Switch HVC-003 is straightforward:

  1. Select Mode: Use the 'TV/GAME' selector switch on the RF Switch unit.
    • Set the switch to 'GAME' (ゲーム) to play your Famicom. The Famicom's video and audio signal will be sent to your TV.
    • Set the switch to 'TV' (テレビ) to watch regular television programming. The signal from your antenna will be passed through to your TV.
  2. Adjust TV Channel: If you experience a poor signal or no picture, fine-tune your TV to the correct channel (Channel 1 or 2) for the Famicom.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your RF Switch HVC-003:

  • Keep the unit clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the switch to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
  • Do not pull on the cables forcefully; always grasp the plug when connecting or disconnecting.
