4. Maintenance
The Shelly Plus 2PM is designed for minimal maintenance. Ensure the device is kept within its specified environmental conditions (temperature and humidity). Regularly check for firmware updates through the Shelly Cloud App to ensure optimal performance and security.
For cleaning, ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from any electrical source. Use a dry, soft cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Shelly Plus 2PM, consider the following:
- Device unresponsive: Check the power supply to ensure it is within the specified voltage range (110-240 VAC or 24 VDC).
- Wi-Fi connectivity issues: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is active and the device is within range. Try restarting your Wi-Fi router.
- Bluetooth pairing issues: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and the Shelly Cloud App is up to date.
- Automation not working: Verify your schedules, scripts, and webhook configurations in the Shelly Cloud App. Ensure all linked devices (e.g., sensors) are functioning correctly.
- Overpower protection triggered: If the device shuts off unexpectedly, it might be due to an overload. Check the current draw of connected appliances to ensure they do not exceed 10A per channel or 16A total (18A peak).
For persistent issues, consult the Shelly support resources or contact customer service.
