4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Initial Operation
- Press the Power button to turn ON the device.
- Adjust the eyepiece knob to focus the target before measuring.
- Short press the Mode button to switch between different measurement modes.
If the target reflection is weak or beyond the measuring range, the display will show "---". The measurement range can be affected by target material, surface angle, and weather conditions. Generally, a smooth, bright, large target surface, with the beam perpendicular to it, and cloudy weather without fog will result in a longer measurement range.
4.2. Unit Change
Long press the Mode button to change the unit between meters (m) and yards (Yd).
4.3. Measurement Modes

Image: Visual representation of the five main measurement modes.
4.3.1. Rain and Fog Ranging Mode (Long-Range Priority)
This mode is designed for measurements in rainy and foggy conditions. It prioritizes long-range results to mitigate invalid readings caused by raindrops or fog.
- Short press the Mode button to select the Rain and Fog Ranging Mode.
- Aim at target B, press the Power button. The device continuously emits an infrared laser and displays readings on the upper line. The "long-range priority" result is shown at the bottom of the LCD screen.
4.3.2. BOW Mode (HD)
This mode measures the horizontal distance from the device to the target object, along with the tilt angle. It is useful for bow hunting or other applications where horizontal distance is critical.
- Short press the Mode button to select BOW Mode (HD).
- Aim at point B of the measured object and short press the Power button. The linear distance (AB) to the target is displayed on the top, while the horizontal distance and tilt angle are shown at the bottom of the LCD screen.
4.3.3. Auto Height Mode
This mode provides linear distance, vertical height, and angle information.
- Short press the Mode button to select Auto Height Mode.
- Aim at point B of the measured object and short press the Power button. The linear distance (AB) to the target is displayed on the top, while the height distance and tilt angle are shown at the bottom of the LCD screen.
4.3.4. Vertical Height (Between Two Points)
This mode calculates the vertical height between two points.
- Short press the Mode button to activate Vertical Height measuring mode.
- Aim at target B, press the Power button to get the distance and angle (angle between the measured distance and horizontal surface) between A and B.
- Move to target C, press the Power button again to get the distance and angle between A and C. The vertical height between B and C will be displayed on the top, and the absolute value of the difference between the two angles will be displayed at the bottom.
4.3.5. Speed Measuring Mode
This mode measures the speed of a moving target.
- Short press the Mode button to activate Speed Measuring Mode.
- Aim at target B and move slightly. The speed of the measurement can be measured accordingly.
Note: The angle 'a' must be less than 10°. The smaller the angle, the higher the accuracy. Speed measurement range: 18-300 km/h.
5. Maintenance
5.1. General Care
- To protect the coating of the lens, do not touch the lens with your fingers.
- When the lens is contaminated, wipe gently with a clean cloth. Do not use tough objects to wipe.
- Avoid collision or heavy load when carrying or using the device. Keep it away from baking or corrosion.
- Keep the product away from moisture during storage. Store it in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place to avoid direct sunlight, dust, and temperature mutation.
5.2. Servicing
The laser rangefinder has been precisely calibrated by instruments. Please send it back to the dealer for repair instead of disassembling it yourself.
6. Troubleshooting
If the device displays "---" during measurement, it indicates that the target reflection is weak or the target is beyond the measuring range. Adjust your position or target to ensure optimal conditions.
If the low battery indicator is displayed, replace the batteries promptly to maintain measurement accuracy.
