2. Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the appliance to prevent personal injury or damage to the machine.

  • Always ensure the machine is placed on a stable, flat surface.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Keep hands and fingers away from hot surfaces and moving parts during operation.
  • Unplug the machine from the power outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  • Do not operate the machine with a damaged cord or plug. Contact customer support for repairs.
  • This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • Ensure the water tank is filled with clean, cold water before brewing.
  • Do not open the brewing chamber during operation as hot water and steam may escape.

3. Setup

Unpacking:

  1. Carefully remove all packaging materials and the coffee machine from the box.
  2. Check that all components and accessories are present and undamaged.
  3. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.

Initial Preparation:

  1. Place the machine on a clean, dry, and stable surface.
  2. Fill the removable water tank (600ml capacity) with fresh, cold water. Ensure the water level is between the MIN and MAX marks.
  3. Place the drip tray in position.
  4. Connect the power cord to a suitable electrical outlet. The machine supports AC 220-240V 50/60HZ or AC 110-127V 60HZ, depending on your region's plug type (EU, UK, US).

First Use / Rinsing:

Before brewing coffee for the first time, it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle to rinse the internal components:

  1. Fill the water tank.
  2. Place an empty cup on the drip tray.
  3. Do not insert any coffee capsule or adapter.
  4. Press the power button to turn on the machine.
  5. Select a medium water volume (e.g., 3-4 bars).
  6. Press the brew button to start the cycle.
  7. Discard the water in the cup. Repeat this process 2-3 times.

4. Operation

Brewing Coffee:

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
  2. Open the brewing chamber handle.
  3. Insert the appropriate adapter for your chosen coffee format (DG capsule, NS capsule, ground coffee, ESE pod, or K-cup).
  4. Place your cup on the drip tray. The machine can accommodate mugs up to 95mm (3.7 inches) in height.
  5. Close the brewing chamber handle securely.

Hot Brew Mode:

  1. Click the power button to enter hot mode (red light).
  2. Select your desired coffee volume using the water volume selection buttons (7 levels available).
  3. Click the brew button (coffee cup icon) to start brewing.

Cold Brew Mode:

  1. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to enter cold mode (blue light).
  2. Select your desired coffee volume using the water volume selection buttons (7 levels available).
  3. Click the brew button (coffee cup icon) to start brewing.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your coffee machine.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray after each use. Wash with warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank daily. Rinse with fresh water and refill before next use.
  • Adapters: Remove and rinse the used adapter after each brew. Ensure no coffee grounds or residue remain.
  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.

Descaling:

Over time, mineral deposits can build up inside the machine, affecting performance. Descale your machine every 3-6 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  1. Empty the water tank and fill it with a descaling solution (follow the descaling product's instructions) or a mixture of white vinegar and water (1:1 ratio).
  2. Place a large container under the coffee spout.
  3. Run several brewing cycles without a coffee capsule until the water tank is empty.
  4. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
  5. Run several more cycles with fresh water to rinse out any descaling solution residue.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HiBREW H2B machine, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
