Setup Guide
Power Supply Unit (PSU) Selection and Connection
If you are not ordering the complete set, the RD6018/RD6018W requires a DC input. For AC input, a switching power supply (PSU) is necessary. Ensure the PSU is reliably grounded to prevent leakage risk.

Recommended PSUs: Use custom or reputable brand switching power supplies. For 110V AC input, a 1000W PSU is recommended for full RD6018 output. For 220V AC input, a 1200W PSU is recommended.
Not Recommended PSUs: If using an AC-DC converter or transformer, you must add a rectifier and filter. The DC output voltage without load should be lower than 65V. Power grid voltage fluctuations can cause high output voltage and damage the device.
Banned PSUs: Avoid using electric bike chargers, second-hand power supplies, or modified power supplies. These devices are often unstable and can output high voltages, potentially damaging your load.
Important: Before connecting any PSU to the RD6018/RD6018W, use a multimeter to verify its output voltage is stable and within the rated range. Do not connect a damaged or unstable PSU to the RD6018/RD6018W to prevent further damage.
Case Assembly (S800 Case)
The S800 case is designed for the RD6018/RD6018W and compatible AC-DC switching power supplies (800W/1000W). It includes necessary internal cables and screws for assembly.

Assembly Notification: Only individuals with a foundation in electronic and electrical engineering should connect the cables. Ensure all connections are reliably grounded.

Ensure the RD6018 unit is installed correctly into the S800 case, as shown in the diagram. Incorrect installation can lead to damage or improper function.
Operating Instructions

Protection Features
The RD6018/RD6018W incorporates several protection mechanisms to safeguard the device and your connected load:
- Over Voltage Protection (OVP): Prevents output voltage from exceeding a set limit.
- Over Current Protection (OCP): Limits output current to prevent damage from excessive current draw.
- Over Temperature Protection (OTP): Shuts down the system if the internal temperature exceeds 80℃.

When OCP is active and the output current is lower than the set OCP value, the output will shut down automatically. If the OCP value is higher than the set OCP value, the output will enter constant current mode, suitable for constant current devices like high power LED lamps.
Measurement Accuracy
The device features 4-digit resolution for accurate measurements of output voltage and current.

Max Power Limit
The RD6018/RD6018W supports setting a maximum output power, which is convenient for adapting to various input PSUs. When you set the output voltage and current, the device automatically adjusts to ensure that the total power does not exceed the configured maximum power.

The maximum power setting range is 10-1080W. For full-scale output with 110V AC input, use a recommended power supply.
Software and APP Connectivity (RD6018W only for APP/WiFi)
The RD6018W model supports both PC software via USB micro cable and mobile APP via WiFi. The RD6018 (without W) only supports PC software via USB micro cable.

Troubleshooting
Software and Connectivity Issues
- APP crashes on phone:
The APP and PC software may have compatibility issues with certain systems. It is recommended to download and test the software/APP before purchase. The PC software supports Windows 7 and above. The Android APP supports Android 8.0 and above. The iOS APP supports iOS 10.0-iOS 13.4. If the product functions correctly but the software/APP does not, refunds based solely on software/APP incompatibility may be refused.
- Cannot connect RD6018W to phone APP via WiFi:
- Ensure the WiFi board is properly inserted into the RD6018W.
- Verify that your WiFi network is 2.4GHz.
- Disable client isolation/AP isolation and WMM functions on your router.
- Ensure location services and storage services are enabled for the APP during installation.
- If issues persist, contact support.
- Cannot connect RD6018W to PC via WiFi (but phone connection works):
WiFi connection to PC is a test function and may have poor compatibility with some computers. If you cannot connect the PC software via WiFi, this function may not be supported for your setup. Technical support for this specific PC WiFi connection is limited, and its future availability depends on customer feedback.
Hardware and Physical Issues
- Case is slightly deformed:
During shipping, the S800 case side may become slightly deformed. This can usually be adjusted by hand. This is a common occurrence and does not affect functionality. If this is a concern, consider it before purchasing.

Image: Example of a slightly deformed case side, which can typically be manually adjusted. - Traces on the panel:
Slight traces may be present around the button holes on the shell due to the injection molding process. These are usually not noticeable during normal use and do not indicate damage. The shell is not a precision craft item.

Image: Example of slight traces on the panel around button holes, a result of the manufacturing process. - Using with inductive loads:
When connecting an inductive load (e.g., a motor), the maximum working current should not exceed 1/3 of the device's full current range.
